Mordekaiser is getting a buff he does NOT need

Mordekaiser was fine where he was before this buff and he did NOT need it, I feel like they took a champ that wasn't very popular and buffed him just so he was played. (same with Sarner but his buff he quite bad compared to the others) Mordekaiser was healthy if not a little "OP" before they even buffed him this patch. Giving him a dragon gives him absolute lane dominance which he had before by poking with his E. His Q got buffed too along with his passive buffing his E based on how much his passive bar is filled up. He is now more generally tanky and just has absolute control over everything now. All im saying is this champ did NOT need a buff.

It was a rework not a buff.

However, I am having a hard time fighting again him. Anyone figured out any counters for the new Mord? because I can't even hurt the guy :( It's kind of taking the fun out of the game and I've only played a few matches today. :/

I agree I cannot find any one who can beat him but that's what I mean he did get buffed and I think he is just way to strong now

focus fire? CC?

not engaging him 1v1 when he has dragon behind him?

dragon has range you know it can poke you under tower and you are forced to back because how much damage it does

Big Lincoln1 votes

mordekaiser doesn't, you know

if you lock him down and kill him, the dragon's gone too

Fatalitý2 votes

in a 1v1? that's impossible you will never beat him if he has a dragon unless you are super fed, and you do know having dragon makes him tanky right?

Big Lincoln1 votes

no shit, that's why he's immobile and has no CC

think of what he trades off for his power and maybe don't pick someone who has to fight him where he's strongest

ok then tell me a couple champs that could potentially win lane against him? that way im prepared next time I fight one

for mid, top, or bot?

can't help you with top but off the top of my head, anyone who can poke mord from long range will give him trouble. people like Ziggs Xerath Lux would be good examples

high-mobility champs are a good bet too. the thing is most of Mord's damage will be in his Q; that's what he'll want to use whenever he's looking to finish you off. E max means he's gonna poke you down, but if you're able to kite him until his Q goes on cooldown you can back safely unless he's willing to burn a summoner 4

Vayne Kalista are really annoying ADCs to play against because Mord's lack of lockdown means they can walk all over him. A lot of supports can be troublesome as well, anyone with lots of CC or is able to poke him endlessly will make him lose more health than he can take from you

Wat

You do know that he has to kill the drake? he doesnt do that by default (?)

Fatalitý1 votes

all he has to do is damage it and his team kills it, getting dragon is not that hard

So a melee champ with less movement speed then before, no w in a solo lane, and still ZERO crowd control is unbeatable? Stop walking into his mace then lol.

Fatalitý1 votes

yes it is unbeatable no mid laner has that much dominance over lane than mordekaiser does right now unless you camp his lane hard.
