Just Another LP Rant
Hi,
I hate the fact that in Ranked Games, especially in the lower elos like Bronze and Silver, whenever one person ruins the game the rest of the team has to take the hard loss for it. For example, a teammate is tilted in our game, starts feeding and raging, and later rage quits. Even if us, the 4 other people, were able to initially stay calm, the game still ends for the worse. Their team is ahead, we have one person less, and our morale is broken. What if any of us were in a promotion series? The other 4 would still have to take the full LP loss, all because of this one guy that decided to fudge up the game. And reporting said guy? Reporting won't do s**t. Sure, that person may get a chat restriction, or if he just went AFK without any unsportsmanlike conduct, get a LeaverBuster warning, but it does not change the fact that we took the loss. Even worse, there are lots of smurfs existent, and they do not care if their account gets banned or punished for committing such things since they may have just wanted to do a troll session or simply do not care about that account, while the rest of the team still gets punished hard. Some may even have their MMR lowered before, and just lost 20+ LP because of this guy, others lost their promotion to the next division. What I am saying is, is there no way to factor in these variables in Ranked Games? I simply find it unfair that one person ruins another person game and rank, without any care or regrets, while the other may have been on their breaking point of League. Even if that person had a legitimate emergency AFK, isn't there a way to make it less harsh for the rest of the team that took this loss which was out of their control? For example, maybe half the usual amount of LP lost for that specific game at least? Is there no way you can modify the League system to factor this in Riot...?
