It Has Been Just Over a Week and Still Silence (Karma Update Debacle)

Karma players have been waiting for this for so long and when they are told what it is most of them made a stand saying that this is a horrible update. First we were teased with the clothesline and then we get this purely supportive buff that will ensure Solo lane Karma gets nerfed in the near future and Karma players made an uproar on how displeased the majority were. Even if you are not 100% certain the direction you are taking from here on out please keep us in the loop for now on since obviously there is a huge disconnect. The Karma playerbase and I myself would very much appreciate a break in the silence.

And she needs her fans back from 2013. None of this they are in the dance bullshit.

Riot is handling the entire Karma gameplay update very amateurishly. The changes are glaringly problematic for anyone who has been playing Karma for at least a month and had an understanding of Karma's patch history.

As an ex-Karma main (I stopped maining her earlier this year), it's disappointing to see that they've ceased communication and are just going to shove their rendition to PBE. Instead of addressing each of Karma's problems (problems, not weaknesses), they're just dropping an overpowered ability in her kit that is bound to get her nerfed.

It's almost like Riot's way of fixing champions requires them to add a skill that will make playing versus said champion frustrating.

Yeah and like they don't even follow their own goals for this update either.

  1. Give her an identity, which is not done they just added a random ability that doesn't really flow with her kit.
  2. Give her an ally cast W, which they did do. Granted it seems horribly unhealthy and so niche that she will only fit into super specific comps.
  3. Keep her as a flex pick, they say that this will not really help nor harm Solo lane Karma, but it is obvious to every player that she will be seen as OP with this new W and will be nerfed because of it hurting her Solo lane without receiving any buffs for it to start with.

there is no debacle. they told you what was happening in rough draft form and they're not going to give you a weekly update on it

you'll have to wait until it comes out or they put another karma post out

Definition of debacle 1a : a great disaster b : a complete failure : FIASCO

Riots goals with this update was:

  1. Give her an identity - Failed
  2. Give her an ally mechanic with her W - Success
  3. Not to pigeon hold her to one role - Failed because of number 2

So it is a complete failure, and the insane backlash they got from Karma players tells you it was a disaster. So it was a debacle.

If Riot were planning a huge change to any champion and they messed up this hard I would expect more communication. It doesn't need to be weekly updates, but maybe a "we messed up and we are working on fixing it" would be good enough.

Do you know what the definition of debacle is?

kneejerk reaction from 3 karma players spamming the same thread daily on boards isn't a debacle

Dude have you looked at the Dev post on it? All of the comments criticizing the terrible update got the most upvotes. Just because only a few Karma players are vocal doesn't mean that many don't agree with their complaints.
