6.14 Sona Request (Her Changes)

If you've been following most of the Rioters on Twitter, you probably know about the PBE changes Sona is going through. Q: Scales slightly worse (0/-10/-20/-30/-40, iirc), W: Better heals/shields per rank but lost scaling per missing HP, E: Slightly worse movement values but no longer decays, R: Will give QWE 20%/30%/40% CDR (unsure if it stacks with regular CDR, praying that it doesn't.)

I consider these pretty much buffs across the board for her, and as a Sona main, I love it.

However, Riot, I have ONE request for you as a Sona main: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not gut Sona if these changes turn out to make her OP. If the changes are OP, REVERT THEM INSTEAD. DO NOT GUT HER. I know you hate to revert changes for some reason, but I think you will need to make an emergency exception if push comes to shove.

Gutting Sona is what Riot does. Gut-na should be her nickname....

Which is why I'm so scared for these changes to actually make it to Live. I'd rather the buffs die on PBE than see her be great for 2 weeks then gutted cause Riot has a personal vendetta against Sona. I guess she took the last donut from Mel'o'Cream or something to invoke that much wrath.

I know...Sona's just my favorite champ and I hate Riot's little vendetta for her whenever she gets at least semi-good.

Both ludens and grail will be core on her after changes go through. It'll allow her to have strong burst heals from getting stacks on grail dealing damage on Q. Also Ludens will also charge up faster and help with grail stacks.

I was thinking Ardent Censer would be quite good post-patch, considering it buffs her heals. Mikael's would also probably end up being good too.

I prefer ludens when I play sona since she is squishy, I wanna keep my distance. Also you already have mana from grail and mroe movement speed from ludens.

With the new ardent censor, you'll reach max cdr, so I feel like you would be lossing out on a lot of stats from lichbane as well.

Bump again. I'm gonna do this daily, probably until a Red responds. I really have no confidence in Riot's ability to restrain themselves when it comes to nerfing/buffing Sona.

Revive commence. I'm gonna keep this in circulation to the best of my ability until SOMEONE at Riot notices. Sona already got buffed once by the Ardent Censer + Mikael's Crucible changes recently, so I really hope Riot is careful about these 6.14 changes.

Whether they gut her or not, is probably going to be for the community to decide, Considering the last time she was gutted, is was basically by popular demand. (Boards looked like a freaking witch trial)

Also, it would take more than balance to completely revert a rework. (even a small one like this) Sona's kit would have to be inherantly problematic for them to revert the rework, cause if it's a stats check, nerfing the numbers is enough.

And even if it was problematic, they would probably look at something else, cause they're obviously not satisfied with her kit as it currently stands. (or they wouldn't have done the update.)

Wtaf are you even talking about? The last time she was gutted was 4.13 and it was matter-of-factly opposed by the entire community almost unanimously. Since you seem to have forgotten, have this reminder:
