Can we get an actually functioning Client?

• Friendlist is actually unresponsive for the majority of the time. U can't know if your friends are still in game in a que or in champ select u have to log in and out couple of times to actually see what your friends are up to. Sometimes it just shows u offline and u cannot get invited.

• Client is sometime missing segments or just completely crash out and not show anything resulting in another log in and out loop. The hextech crafting constantly gets errors and sometimes i cant open a chest for a good 10 minutes.

• Clubs got completely neglected and we were promised that they will be actually useful thing. Now clubs are just ppl having 5 accounts and saving club tags they like. Chat groups went out god knows why.

• Also sometimes when there is a new patch u can't download it for 10-30 mins due to the downloading not starting most of the times or freezing out at 99% resulting in yet another open/close the client loop.

Overall i don't see this client being of a better quality than the last one. Didn't even mention how much LP u actually lose due to numerous bugs happening during the champion select resulting in you not able to lock a ban or a champion you're about to play.

Oddly enough, I had all these issues and more (glitchwise) Until I bought a new, gaming laptop. Now I don't have any issues, So I wonder if the launcher relies on your computers specs for simple functionality. I miss the old client, HATED the new one. But since I bought my new computer my only issue is the amount of sub-menu's are annoying.

the minimum system requirements did leap up recently. it used to require 2.0 ghz and now requires 2.8 at least at least if I remember right. I might be thinking of Dota

It used to require 2.0 GHz and now requires 2.8.

I wouldn't be surprised - I've been banging on about an increased CPU demand ever since the new client got released. Expected it to happen ever since they announced the new client would be built in Chromium.

well, chromium's actully pretty efficient. It's problem though is the sandbox feature which will skyrocket ram usage

at least for browsers. I've never heard of chromium being used as an interface

there's google's operating system for chrome books, but as google puts it, what if your browser became your desktop?

That was my initial understanding of it also, but then came multiple reports of sluggish browsers (Chrome and FIrefox, especially after the Quantum release) and memory leaks left, right and center (again, for both browsers).

While most of those are sorted now, for the browsers at least, I notice severe latency issues with the new client. And it gets gradually worse, to be honest.

From what I can tell, a recent patch added a delay to compensate for any sluggishness (likely between the client side hardware and server communication), giving the equivalent of a loading screen before anything actually happens. That be when a match is found (accessing the lobby), opening the Hextech or Store window, creating a game or being assigned a role (Nexus Blitz was incredibly slow in this).

I'm not sure exactly how it all comes together (I'm no programmer), but it feels like the game code for multi-core CPU utilization (with 4 cores or more) is severly lacking.

Regarding the RAM, I got 32 GB of that, so the RAM usage doesn't interest me. 4x 8 GB Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 1600 MHz XMP - far from the fastest RAM, but RAM clocks barely makes a difference outside benchmarking.

But where I did notice a difference was when I OCed my CPU. i7 3770K. Ancient model in technical terms, but upping the clocks from stock 3,50 GHz to 4,30 GHz (sadly not 24/7 stable without overvolting) really made a significant difference. Am down to a 24/7 stable 3,90 GHz now (no overvolting), and I still notice less stutter compared to stock.

Being scoffed at all over the place for even suggesting the CPU matters at all in this game, I'm really glad to see some official support for my opinions if the CPU requirements really are upped.

well, I don't get that technical with it but I did end up switching to Opera browser because of all the memory problems in firefox, edge and chrome

it really sucks on a budget rig to run out of ram while attempting to play a game XD

While I cannot say I know that particular feeling, playing on a high-end rig is no better due to all the optimization issues in this game.

Doesn't really matter what you play on, unless you got one of those sweet spot middle-line rigs, being outright lucky with the components being fully catered to by the developers.

Kinda feel for you needing RAM upgrades though - RAM is expensive AF right now.

well, good luck. adjusting the graphics could help as it might be an individual setting somewhere

I can't believe a game like league, in 2018, STILL DOESN'T HAVE A LOG OUT BUTTON. [sg-shisa]

That's because it logs you out every time you close League.

Why do I have to close the entire client just for switching accounts? Imagine you close Steam, Discord, Chrome, Outlook every time when you need to switch*[zombie-brand-facepalm]*

Its been like this for years, they have no intention of fixing bugs because like they stated with the "death recap"

the code is too messed up, and they dont want to ruin the game by trying to fix "tiny errors"

I've had exactly no bugs with the new client while with the old one it bugged more often than not, so it's super functional for me. It seems like it's just a handful of people who get bugs, which makes it harder to figure out and fix. If everyone had the same bugs in the same situations it would be much, much easier.

Some ppl saying that they don't have all of those issues amazes me since my pc is like 1k + dollars and i can run the newest games with high end requirements and i somehow get completely bugged out sometimes in riot's client.

the game is garbage, so having a good client will make the game look even worse. to even it out, they just made the client garbage as well

You forgot the part where you press accept but rito says fk that and gives you 20m queue time for "dodging"...... [zombie-brand-facepalm]
