With the rise in vladimir it again begs the question to be asked.

Why is there no ad equivalent morellos? Yes, I know ignite exists but honestly would you give up map pressure and tp ganks over kill pressure in lane?

It bugs me that the only champions that have health reducs are ap mages/assasins like malz and fizz and ad carries like varus but at least ad carries get bork to counter health based champions and ap champs get liandrys and morrellos.

I'm just trying to get my head around this so if anyone has an answer to this it would be much appreciated.

There was (Executioner's Calling), and I guess nobody used it. A wasted slot against anyone that wasn't actively healing. Maybe we'll get a new one someday.

Exactly.

But the problem with Executioner's Blade was that it was a legendary tier item that didnt scale worth shit and had stats no one in their right mind would build. Not to mention just a shit build path.

If it had actually upgraded into soemthing it MIGHT have been good.

Nobody used it, but it hard countered Vladimir. Executioner's debuff applied 100% of the time, instead of only when below 40% hp like Morello's.

Even in its previous trashy state, it would be pretty useful right now to counter the healing gods of Hecarim or Vladimir.

Executioner's Calling item 3123 + item 1037 could make for a good upgrade. Was going to say + item 1038 but that'd be a little pricey.

Because Riot favors AP when it comes to items. That is pretty clear when you see how much item versatility there is within AP's and how little within AD's and how many great armor items there are for all kinds of situations and only a couple sub-par mr items.

I'm not sure. Generally apc's are supposed to crap on adc's, and lifesteal is a lot stronger than spellvamp (usually).

But... I don't know. I wouldn't be really opposed to it, but not every AP item needs an AD equivalent and vice versa. But, we're not talking about merc blade/zhonyas, so I am confused why there's not something to counter spellvamp effectively for AD. I mean, we got thornmail to counter lifesteal, and item 3165 , so tanks and AP's got their stuff, but AD is kind of left behind here.

item 3151 is waaaaaaay less reliable then item 3153 Plus only a handful of AP champions can utilize liandrys well but every AD champion can practically buy a BorK and see a significant damage increase

Vlad is such a silly champion.

You don't want to 1v1 him because then you won't have enough burst to take him down and he'll just sustain through all your damage while killing you.

You also don't want to 5v1 him because then he gets even more sustain due to WotA's interaction with his E and W and he just kills you all while healing through your damage.

And not only that but you can't burst him because his full AP build gets him 3k hp and a spirit visage gives him a ton of AP in addition to the survivability lol.

That said... does anybody know the definitive counter to Vlad? I'm talking full build Vlad, not the "kill him in lane phase garbage" because that's inconsistent and usually you aren't even the person laning against him.
