Soraka nerfs were pretty brutal.

People might not think much of the range nerf on her Q, but that range nerf was pretty big. I find that whenever I get the chance to play her, I tend to take more damage trying to land a Q than I heal from the Q itself.

I hate it when people say that their favourite champion is 'gutted' following a couple nerfs, but I do think this Q range nerf hit pretty hard.

Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on which side of the argument you are on) her Q nerfs are working as intended. The nerf reduces her safety greatly.

Unfortunately most soraka's play as a heal bot ignoring ever even using their Q's because it's so easy to melt her if she steps forward. SOOOO her "nerf" did essentially nothing.

That was not even close to what I would call a start to nerfing her. There is a reason her and Tahm Kench are probably around the 85-90% banrate in gold or higher elo.

That can't be. If she never hit her Q, she'd only be able to heal 10 times (maybe 11 if you factor in her hp regen) before she'd have no hp left.

HMMMMM. Apparently you haven't seen the new masteries yet? That make a person regenerate faster than a lizards tail?

Also, there are these magical things called health potions which uhhh work REALLY well, if you sit back and never get touched.

??? Soraka needs to land Q consistently in order to be a heal bot as you say.

Before the nerf, she could occasionally land max range Q and heal off it, and that was a no counterplay problem. It's hard to melt her down if she's still out of range.

Her winrate only went down by 0.2% so it can't be that bad. Annoying for the Soraka player perhaps but she is most certainly still very strong.

The whole point was to stop her from being able to just chill in the back line being a brain dead heal bot. You actually need smart positioning now.

Lol Heal bot? The hell you say. There's a huge difference between someone auto-piloting Raka and a Pro Raka. Huge difference. I think your just butt hurt at losing so much to her during lane phase.

What is this necro?

I played her a little while ago, and the Q nerf, though noticeable, wasn't too bad. If anything, the mana cost on her heal kinda hurt her early game, but she was frustrating to play against so I can sorta understand it.

Her pick rate dropped to 9%... but her win rate is still 52%.

Before, a good Raka can literally hide BEHIND her ADC and still do everything, because her Q range is actually pretty far. Against poke lanes it's almost an insta-win because she can just never get poked, therefore making such pokes useless.

That range nerf gives a lot less of that safety, and legit breathing room for such matchups. Yes, it does hurt because anyone who plays Raka here and there knows, but it's more like something that gives Raka more risks and still the same amount of reward.
