Just lost a game because my lane opponent was account sharing.

Feels shitty man :(. I was against lane as a poppy, and she was playing really well. Too well even. I mentioned that they were really good, and after some chitchat, they admitted to being on their friends account. I asked what rank they were and they said plat.

A plat player in a mid silver game. I managed 2 kills against them, but their overall game mechanics were way too good for me and the rest of my team to handle. Our botlane didn't do great either, but It might have been a salvageable game, had poppy been in our elo.

I know it's no ones fault, but It's still a super shitty thing to have to deal with. Is there any way to combat account sharing?

Edit: For some reason, people aren't reading this properly, so I'll emphasis that, as Oleandervine has stated, This has nothing to do with dynamic queue

This was someone literally going on their friends account and playing for them.

If they admitted to being on a friend's account, send in a support ticket with the exact game it was in. Account sharing is a bannable offense.

You can report them for cheating in the end game lobby.

Dynamic Queue.

Report them in the post game lobby. That's really the only solution. :P

To quote the OP about the player they encountered: "I mentioned that they were really good, and after some chitchat,* they admitted to being on their friends account.*"

I italicized the most important part of that statement for you. That part of that statement had absolutely 0% relevance to Dynamic Queue. Account sharing is not the same as someone tagging along while their Gold friend carries them from Bronze to Gold. Sharing an account so that a your Platinum friend physically logs into your accout and uses his skills to physically control your account is boosting, and, I cannot stress this enough, 0% relevant to Dynamic Queue.

Someone que'd up with someone of higher skill then them. And they got carried.

Welcome to Dynamic Que. Where people like you are wrong, continue to be wrong, and fail to see the fact that they are still wrong ^_^

There's nothing "Dynamic Queue" about this, as the problem has existed for several years and would exist with Solo Queue as well.

That's alright. I'm really fine with you feeling that way. Have a nice day =)

you didn't lose because of account sharing, you lost because you weren't good enough to win.

I was up against a platinum player as silver. of course I wasn't good enough to win against that.
