She looks like a fighter not a mage, I prefer champions that look like fighters to be fighters not mages well in exception of Diana who's both a mage and a fighter but she looks like a fighter, akali is also kind of a fighter. I don't want a mage who's a fighter but not a mage. change her radios all to AD, and balanced and it won't be op because she wouldn't be able to use zhonya's. Ryze is a fighter but also a mage.

While I get where your coming from, (Are those magic knives or something?) but even so I'd be against it. Kat's kit is the way it is and has been since the beginning of the game. Changing her damage type would be a massive change that would throw off all the players that currently have her mastered.

Besides, it would weaken her teamfight since armor is easier to build and she would lose access to the likes of item 3285 and item 3151 .

In League, "Mage" no longer means "AP user."

From the Class & Subclasses Dev Blog:

Mages are offensive casters that seek to cripple and burn down the opposition through their potent spells.

Due to this, Katarina has been reclassified as a pure Assassin, since casting spells to progressively cripple enemies from afar doesn't really fit her as much.
