Why is Cassiopeia "unplayable" in her current state?

So I main Ryze, similar to Cass with their AP DPS. I want to try her out, but I have heard ALOT of stuff about her being "unplayable". Please fill me in.

Cons:

Terrible AP ratios
Passive that does very little until ultra late game
Garbage spells , especially W
Incredibly unreliable, slow, telegraphed buggy ult
Ultra vulnerable during laning (Especially to assassins which are nearing the height of their power) and slightly less so but still vulnerable after

Pros: Has a nice rack

ap ratios take too long to scale up, doesnt have the mobility or range to fight a lux or zed, needs like 3 items to be a big presence in teamfights and has a decently high skill cap and ult can sometimes miss for no reason. so all in all shes just not that good atm

Shes going to be way different than Ryze, just sayin..

All of her skills have a delay before being applied. She is the meaning of dps with my play style, i find her to be pure sustain. In teamfights, she is just there to keep the damage going. Her only "burst" is when her poisons are applied, you mash the shit out of E. She is completely useless unless you can get her poisons on the enemy and keep them on, which is harder than it looks Her ult is so buggy i rarely use it unless like, every single enemy is stuck in a veigar stun. but thats just me. i recommend you just play her and try it out. never know with a categorically endless amount of play styles

She is good against Tanky top laners and as an adc counter, that's how I play her either bot or top, I don't like playing her mid. But dont pick her into a Tryndamere, pick her into a Garen or something like that.

AHHH THOSE WERE THE DAYS! i used to bust out the old tryndamere mid against cass and just wreck her. went with this stupid @$$ build that worked somehow back in season 3. hydra-zephyr-ie-maw-phantom (boots somewhere) but man that used to be hella fun

She's not unplayable but she does require a fair bit of practice and mechanical skill, plus her team needs to be equipped to and smart enough to peel for her in the late game. She's been picked a few times during LCS and is considered a strong late-game champion although her win rate in solo queue is subpar.

A lot of the complaints are from people who were fans of Cassiopeia before her rework and don't like how she has felt as a champion since then.

You main Ryze, he is one of the weakest champs why worry about Cassio not being strong enough? If you want to have fun play her. She is fun, loads of fun. If you just want to win maybe look somewhere else but even so Cassio can be good in certains comps.

She's harder to play than Ryze, and much squishier too. She deals less damage than him when he's got his passive up despite him building tankier then she does. And unlike Ryze, her only CC is on her ult, which has a 50% chance of missing if the enemy just clicks randomly and it has a significant delay.

Personally, I think she's lackluster, but not unplayabe. But dear god she is so BORING now.

...In any case, if you do play her, put 1 point in Q at lvl 1 and 2 points in E at level's 2-3. And WAIT until level 3 before you try to all in with twin fang, so the mana cost increase disparity isn't as noticeable. If you try to all in at lvl 2, you will go oom, whereas at level 3 you maybe will kill them or at least be able to get them pretty low. I'd also rush catalyst into RoA rather than tear 90% of the time now. You can't afford the dip in power Tear causes when you are already pretty bad in the early game to begin with.

She's unplayable, not just lackluster. I mained her last season and this season gutted her.

The main problem is that she's a late game hyper carry. Except games are now shorter, so she won't even reach her power spike before the game has already been decided 9/10 times.
