Hey Riot, instead of 'Light Fighter'
Striker.
Fiora, Try, Yi, and even most of the 'Marksmen' if you want to ignore the ranged/melee distinction.
Champions with heavy focus on basic attacks and sustained damage.
They would all be Strikers.

Niyumi1 votesHow about just "Duelist" instead. They're different from fighters because of their dueling potential -- and the word "duelist" doesn't make you think of an unrelenting tank like most fighters are; it's a more graceful word that implies a lot of skill in fighting.
Rebonack1 votesDuelist could work, but it gives the wrong impression in some situations. There are lots of really good duelists that wouldn't be Duelists. It's the problem with calling Utility Mages 'Supports'. Because support is a lane position filled by lots of things that aren't Big-S Supports.
'Striker' is a much more neutral term that implies thwacking things. And Yi and friends do lots of thwacking.

Skirmisher is what Ekko (and old Eve) happens to be. Pretty sure Riot even used that term for him.
A champion that's a weird sort of hybrid between a Tank and an Assassin. Good target selection and CC, but durable and with the ability to move in and out of a fight.
Heh, how about 'Janitors'?
They tend to clean up after a fight breaks out.
