Why let smurfs play in bronze elo?

Here I am, trying to rank up, my team is still new to the game trying to climb up the ranks. I'm a lowly bronze/silver player. I get it, i'm bad. But here's the funny thing. Riot, how do y'all expect any of us new-ish players to climb if you allow smurfs, boosters, and toxic people to play ranked. My question to you all as a company, to let a "smurf" play in bronze and silver, is it ethical to let fake bronze/silver/gold players play ranked if their MMR is godly in their elo... Like, its almost not even worth playing the ranked system if you let a diamond smurf playing a champion like Lee Sin, which is one of the highest skill-based champs to even be mastered in this ELO, carry the hell out of his team or team mate because "his/her friend wants to play higher elo games". I'm sure you know that at a humanistic approach, there is no such thing as a prodigy that barely started playing league. So all i ask of you is, how can you all ensure that higher elo players won't be able to play low ranking games if their MMR is way above the average MMR from a regular bronze/silver/gold player in the future? Will it ever change or not. regardless I'll still play the game, it's just a matter of improving the gaming community for everyone trying to climb. I get it, its not supposed to be easy and its a competitive game, but whats the point of playing ranked if you let people like this play low ranking games. Please no negative feedback.

the one thing I still haven't understood is why people play ranked when they know they are bad just play normals until you get better and just play a few ranked games here and there and the problem with smurfs is riot has no way of knowing if its a smurf or not because even if someone is on an amazing win streak or doing really well it doesn't instantly mean they are a smurf and this is hard for riots matchmaking to decide

People play rank when they're in low elo because the environment there is significantly different than normals. It's not much but it is there and it can influence how people play sometimes. If someone is low elo, I would reccomend them to play normals only if they're learning basics of a champion. Once they have an idea of how to play it, practice and perfecting that champion is much more beneficial to play in a ranked competitive environment, though I do agree that riot has no way to check if a player is a smurf or not other than their absurdly high win rate which smurfs can still find ways around .

mb I forgot I only get placed in with higher elo players in normals now for some reason and its not just a clown fest which most people seem to have in normals

Yea, matchmaking in normals is very strange and often unfair usually result in a stomp or clown fiesta. Ranked gives a drive for some people to actually try.

Smurfs are people too.

Any smurf in ranked will eventually make it to the next ranked tier. they won't be around forever.

The problem is that they do a lot of damage to other players fun and the competitive integrity of ranked in the meantime since it takes around 8 consecutive wins per division assuming that they also aren't deliberately throwing games (again ruining fun and competitive integrity) to keep their rank down.

I don't know that there is a good solution to the problem but shrugging it off seems to be like saying we shouldn't worry about people feeding, spouting off hate speech, or constantly harassing their team since they'll eventually get banned and not be around.

You do have a 50% chance to be on their team.

Technically, if there is a smurf in the game, you have a 44% chance to be with them, and 55% chance to be against them

Fair enough, I was more so looking at it as 50% to be on purple and 50% being on blue.

Mhm, I got where you got it from.

It's the same reason though that people complaining about trolls always on their team are being extreme. Assuming YOU aren't the troll, you have a 44% to have one on your team, and 55% to have one on the enemy.
