Has anyone decided go after a specific skin through hextech boxes?

The question seems silly at best lol but has anyone gone after a specific skin through the hextech system in hopes of just getting lucky, for example I'm dieing to have the lunar revel cait skin, but I hate waiting, so I have been considering doing the hextech or augment boxes to see if I get lucky, which to me feels.....insane lol so I ask, has anyone else ever done this or am I a special type of skin addicted lol and if you have tried this did it work out. Also idk if this is the right board but nobody responded in misc so I put it here XD

Probably not a specific skin, but I've been doing hextech/mystery gifting in the hopes of getting rare/high tier skins!

Nope, but it doesn't stop me from desperately hoping I'll get Frozen Shen (the splash is my favorite in the game) :/

I looked up the odds if getting a skin you want with one chest, and it was somewhere around .13% not even including champion shards and ward skins. Sooo yea no

No, but I used to use this account to mystery gift my main in hopes of getting Nottingham Ezreal and Striker Ezreal, but then with the Snowdown sales opening the vault, I had every skin except Striker, so I was going for that for a little while, then Riot gave me Striker Ezreal in MyShop(that blue shop with five or six skins on sale that varies by account) which was hella rad, since I'd likely have had to wait until 2018 for it otherwise.
