How to help and fix AD Marksman and current meta

Ok. Riot balance team is literally a joke. 8.11 was one of the stupidest patches I have seen in the 8 years I have played. Hotfixes needed for banner (like they never even play tested the item once) and for yasuo cuz they too gimped to even have easy foresight; even without play testing the stupidity that prevented from seeing these easy foresights is mind-blowing. Hire me or hire someone remotely competent. I get they want to change up metas or shift power to make new strategies and adaptations but some are absolutely mind-numbing dumb or boring.

Anyways besides that point, I am here to inform on how Riot can fix things a bit for short term.

  1. Lower critical strike on completed zeal items to 25% from 30% and drop the cost by 100-150 gold. Currently marksman are struggling because they essentially need 3 items to be relevant and it is taking too long to get to that point and fall behind other champions who only need 1 item to blow past them and take too many advantages to comeback. Also 30% critical chance makes NO sense mathematically based on how items work now; this was one of the hugest flawed logics I have seen in a while. Shiv (30%), rapidfire (30%) and Infinity Edge (x2) essentially gives you 120% crit and therefore 20% crit is just flushed down the drain. To have spikes at 50% crit then 100% crit at sooner time frames will allow marksman to keep up with the new meta and be able to get a good core-3 items without being so far behind especially since IE is so expensive and is dead gold until you have at least 1 critical strike item.

  2. Static shiv and rapidfire cannon should be restricted to only ranged champions. Like Runaans Hurricane, these items should be changed only to be helpful to ranged champions so things like rengar don't get that static shiv proc for extra burst; this was intended as a wave clear item and for team fight aoe dmg; not additional burst for assassins. Especially good for above suggestions. This would not effect yasuo much other than forcing him to get phantom dancer (maybe make a new crit item that's more for melee?) as shiv is a reason why he is too strong with easy clear potential. Other melee champions should not have the privilege to get the chance to crit more often than 50% if they so choose and should rely more on better base values and better scaling abilities. Only person that would be affected greatly in a negative way is tryndamere but he really is overdue for an adjust imo anyways (mainly to passive and mocking shout) especially since he has not changed much compared to most champions yet he is one of longest tenured.

  3. Nerf Master Yi. Double strike passive is bonkers with new items; alpha-strike having lower cooldown on autos makes attack-speed way too optimal especially when he already gets assistance from his "E" ability.

  4. Nunu is boring and not doing well or doing way too well so is hard to balance. He needs a huge adjust as his passive sucks and his bloodboil is not interactive at all. Perhaps even an overhaul/rework is needed. This is more long-term though.

Bump so a Riot employee sees pretty obvious flaws they have and can make relatively easy short-term changes. Also so I can get a better job than working minimum wage customer service at a lame company for a product I don't think is that great.

Lowering the completed zeal item costs while lowering the crit they give by a small amount actually makes a lot of sense. I would probably nerf the gold cost to 200 on them with the nerf, and maybe a 100 gold cost reduction on IE.

item 3508 needs to be ranged only as well in my opinion.

It's intended for "spell slinging marksmen" but is being abused by the likes of Master Yi, Renekton and Jax.

I'm all for reducing the Critical Strike on item 3046 item 3087 item 3094 to 25% and reducing the cost by 100-150g each item.

This change would also smooth out the Critical Strike + IE interaction.

2 Zeal items at 25% each + IE would be 100% Critical Strike chance.

No more 20% Critical Strike being wasted.

1% Critical Strike has a gold value of 60.

60 x 20 = 1200 gold of stats wasted.

no marksmen buffs. stop. ffs.

the problem right now is short games times. marksmen power curves are exactly where they should be.

crit builds are lategame carry builds and not meant to powerspike as early as they did. crit marksmen never deserved to have that two item power spike of shiv + i.e. that they had for pretty much a year. their items were cheaper than any other carry itemization in the game.

the average bruiser item is from 3700 gold to 2900 gold.

mage items ranged from 3600 gold to 2900 gold.

the average marksman build was 3400 gold for infinity edge and 2600 gold for two zeals.

the problem that marksmen are having is that game times are currently too short. if riot decreases snowballing, theyre going to get to scale again, and theyre going to be fine.
