How does Lissandra do against mid lane assassins?

I need to learn a champion to play mid against all these assassins everyone loves, but I myself don't like to play them. Lissandra seems like a good choice because she can bully melee champs, snare them if they get close, and turn herself untargetable when they try to get bloodthristy.

Thoughts?

She's a bit of a rare pick for most. I tend to stick to others like Syndra, Orianna unless I'm facing a Zed where her ult completes negates him when he tries to ult.

Liss lanes well vs non bruiser melees.

Eg she counters Fizz but gets dunked hard by J4 Xin Panth.

yah, she is pretty good against champs that rely on mobility, like most assassins, because she has a lot of CC to lock them down.

she dont, prob the worst mage now. why pick liss if you can pick orianna taht do her job and bettter with insane damage

Lissandra is a lockdown mage. She has difficulty nuking one down even wih DFG. She should be used to lockdown a scary and mobile target like Leona except much much more precise. She is A) not the same as Orianna because Orianna lacks an escape and Orianna's aoe CC is shorter than Lissandra. I would not play Magessandra unless it is in a obviously advantageous lane like Akali, Katarina or when you see Vayne.

Lissandra is a very good anti-assassin. Especially with the deletion of so many assassin silences. She's also good at holding them in place as soon as they get close. And her ult is good both defensively and offensively.

She messes me up pretty good when I'm Kat. The q spam and ult is killer against assassins that rely on escapes.

I think the new Viktor is a better pick against assassins. I've seen him destroy assassins but maybe the other players were just less skilled, bot sure. Lissandra needs some help though. The R slow buff was basically useless since you have to use W to keep the enemies there so they can get hit by R. The W nerf was unnecessary in my opinion. The Q buff only give a difference of 0.6 with full cooldown reduction. Besides she's not tanky enough to spam 's throughout the fight without getting focused down.
