Jungle Urgot

Not so bad. Can clear 5 camps with no leash grabbing both buffs before back with half mana and 20-30% health. I usually recall at 3 to improve ganking and make the jungle a push over though. His clear is fast enough to stay 1 level ahead of side lanes and even with mid. After getting jungle upgrade he doesn't have health problems and after getting tear he doesn't have mana problems. If you get a gank resources stop mattering in jungle at level 4 or level 5 without a gank. His perma slow is pretty oppressive and his lock on out ranges flash in most cases.

I've been going full ARP red, 8 armor and 1 flat at attack yellow, full flat attack blue, and full armor purple. Gets me 12 armor pen, 3 attack and 18 armor. More armor is over kill but less armor made me take damage ( felt like a big transition between 12-18 armor for whatever reason). Masteries are 9 offense and 21 defense.

Start at toad, then wolves, then blue buff. Level 3. Go for gank mid or whatever toad lane is. pass or fail recall and upgrade hunter item, do red side. Level 4. Gank each lane unless pushed. Rinse repeat. Item priority has been Hunter item level 2, tear, boots then you just go on from there. It looks like tear, hunter item ARP version, ice gauntlet and black cleaver.

Items usually this:

item 3264 item 3714 item 3025 item 3071 item 3042 item 3026

I sell the hunter item off at some point for another tank item. He never makes full use of the true damage window but it adds enough early game to not matter. May ditch muramana for angel specter instead. it depends on if the carry is actually doing damage. Zhonyas, Warmogs, and spirit visage are all interesting choices too to tank with. It's really hard to fit health into his build and still get his other stats covered. I haven't looked at the new items much but they may be good on urgot too.

Urgot still has a lot of his weaknesses but it's hard to starve on gold in jungle and his perma slow ganks are pretty nice. A lot more fun than laning him.

As an urgot player do you know if the nerf to tear of the goddess hurt him? I wanted to pick him up but I know hes super mana hungry and needs it.

There have been tons of item nerfs that hurt Urgot over the years. The tear isn't that big of a deal. You don't need mana after the tear and a flat mana crystal. It's no where near as bad as when urgots only sustain item, warmogs, got taken away, the cost hikes on manamune, or the ghost blade nerfs. All resulting from different champions. I also go smite clarity just because the scepter or the muraman eat a lot of mana regardless. You can offset that with grail but that stats feel to low and you go over CDR.

I played Jungle Urgot earlier today while learning the new jungle for no other reason than "WHY NOT"

I dunno, from my experience, and admittedly small sample size, it was terrible, changing around my runes would probably help though, I think I was using a page with scaling health and not armor. (It was a 20 second decision, I didn't know which rune page to use, report for baddie). I probably screwed everything up from the start, ahah... As well as going the trailblazer in order to not die in the jungle... Yeah in hindsight I think maybe it's less "Urgot Jungle is dumb" and more "I'm dumb".

I might run it in bots tomorrow, see if I can't get something to work without making my friends games terrible, perhaps try out your build path. Though I'm iffy on that GA, GA has never really helped me on Urgot and Frozen Heart + Banshee's have always been my go-to defensive items for Urgot.
