from what i've learnt from gaming over the years is that when it's made for a certain age group it's usually the complete opposite

I'd honestly say they'd be in the low to mid 20s range. Just because you see the under 18s doesn't make up for the entire range. I'm 26 myself, two others I know are around there, gbay99 is there too. I'd say they're all playing Minecraft and Overwatch right now, though a poll might help a lot.

I think part of that is the age of league some of us have been playing since we we kids but stuck with it into adulthood

my baby sister is in the 4th grade and most of her classmates play league, they even have a club and meetings at one of their houses. a few of them are in gold while the rest are in bronze. (babysitting op) I got the chance to witness a 4th grader destroy gold division as yas top lane like for the love of fiddlesticks

That's actually pretty awesome! Hopefully they're actually teaching the less skilled players what they're doing wrong.

My wife works at a middle school that has a League Club, and some of the kids joined having never played a game before. It was pretty cool to see one of the team's support get the help and instruction she needed to at least look like she understood the game even if her execution was off, but on the flip side the support opposite her never got that instruction from her teammates and was doing terrible. The one doing terrible was playing Support Annie, and it looked like she was just copying what her team's Rammus was building, but Rammus didn't have much of a clue either, so you've got a Support Annie running around with item 1055 item 1054 item 1031 item 2003 or something like that...

I've seen AND heard players of MANY ages on league thanks to Discord, the squeakers are SO annoying as well as the rage roars, which is why I don't do Discord with anyone idk IRL anymore.

haha true that, at first I was looking forward to discord links, sometimes posting my own chan in champ select, cus communication is supposed to be an advantage. but after a few instances of 'please dont shout in the mic' being ignored, I can't remember the last time I used it. Skype with friends is enough.

Usually League and other MOBAs are played by the 14-30 crowd. While there are outliers there is a certain age at which you need to be to understand the more complex intricacies of games. I know when I was younger I played COD and shooters since it was more reactions and physical skill over the mind game. I started playing league around age 13 and I didnt really grasp the game. it took another year of just being alive to be able to grasp some of the finer details.

There will always be outliers yes, but I can probably say that most players will be 14+ due to the way brain development works and how if you are too young you wont be able to grasp some of the more complex details of the game.

The oldest person I've met that we admitted ages to was 30 (married with children). I'm personally 24, and the youngest was 14. Most of my League friends fall between 18-24.

I started playing this game about 7 years ago, so I was around 12 years old at the time. Not surprised that people younger than that have began playing. The internet is a wonderful place.
