The problem isn't Yasuo - it's lifesteal

Yasuo is actually fine. If you get past his shield he can be easy to take down. He's annoying to play against but he isn't super strong. The problem arrises when he has 100% crit WHILE also having a shit ton of lifesteal.

Because he's so DPS based he will effectively have 2x or more of his hp pool in health.

He becomes ridiculously tanky when he has item 3072 and gets the potential to 1v2 or 1v3 when ahead. item 3072 alone gives 20% lifesteal. If he does 500 damage per hit and 2 to 3 hits per second it means he heals 500x0,2=100 = 200-300 health per second healed. This is assuming he does 500 damage per hit and only has 20% (he can get more easily) and also only does 2-3 hits per second.

If you add in his mobility + AOE damage with Q and windwall he becomes extremely obnoxious to be dealt with.

TL;DR I believe that Yasuo isn't the problem but lifesteal combined with his DPS nature is.

Lifesteal is only a probleme if you don't know how to counter it. You can cc the yasuo, riven, etc and effectivly prevent them from lifestealing. But of course that is going to be difficullt if you need to pick the hardcarry champions zed, master yi, gangplank, graves and your team has effectivly zero cc (accurate representation of soloqueue). And also it's a probleme if you try to fight them one by one (god knows how often I've seen this). Lifesteal is not overpowered but as a soloqueue team it's hard to counter it. Additionally there is mortal reminder to counter heal, but in lower elo this item is almost forgotten.

Counter options exist, that's why I don't think lifesteal should be nerfed, just because the soloqueue players refuse to pick hardcore lockdown champions (malzahar) and dont buy mortal reminder.

Yasuo isnt a problem because hes too strong - winrates seem to reflect that. Hes banned because his kit is unfun to play against. Massive windwall in later stages of the game, a shield passive, and his large amount of mobility creates a lost of dislike around him. Personally, i like yasuo, but i have to agree he has to have work done on him to make him less aggravating to play against. This doesnt have much to do with the items hes buying

No, the issue is that his base stats with 1 item absolutely destroys other squishy champions. On top of being one of the most mobile champions int he game when in a lane with minions.

To summarize all of the responses in this discussion:

This guy is wrong, and lifesteal is only a large factor on a champion like yasuo the lower elo you go.
