Just a thought on LeBlanc

What if, now bear with me, we made it so that her Chains could self proc her passive? As it is, they are her highest damaging spell, so why exactly do they proc her passive by themselves?

I mean, the description of her passive states - "LeBlanc's next spell that hits the target will shatter it "

Notice how it says next, not next damage they receive from her spells, but next spell that hits. Now while her e does have 2 parts to it, it is still the same spell.

If you want to argue that its not, then how come malzahar's e, and singed's e don't proc thunderlords? The reason is, that while they do have individual damage procs during the spell, in the end, it is one spell/ability, and therefore doesn't proc thunderlords, which requires 3 abilities/autos to connect.

Now, granted, this would make her weaker, which is why i'm not saying just to remove it and dump her, that wouldn't be fair to her current players, or any future ones.

But in the end, I do believe its a good place to start changing her, as at the moment, all she really does is spam e's down range until one connects, and then just kind of kills you from there. To me, that doesn't seem very fair for the opponent, or very fun for the player of leblanc (unless you just get off on killing people).

But what would i know, i'm just a silver scrub [slayer-jinx-wink]

It's 2 spells, it procs on spell effects twice if both damage parts trigger.

That's just how it works.

Maybe it should be changed to only proc on spell effects upon the root, that gates a lot of problems with it, including thunderlords and her passive.

does it really matter? cant you just Q them if you're in chain range anyway

not sure exactly if i'm thinking about it the right way, never played that bitch champ and never will

Not necessarily, her max tether range is 1000 units (think slightly less than ezreal q range).

Her q range is 700 units

Leblanc E is 2 Spell, one that slow and the other that snare. If you really want her E to be 1 Spell then ask riot to revert the rework back because thats how old LEblanc was.

First off, it doesn't slow.

Secondly, what im asking for, is for riot to follow their design logic, and redistribute power in her kit.

Some abilities can actually proc Thunderlords by themselves: Morgana's W, Miss Fortune's E, Cassiopeia's W and many other Ground Targeted AoE DoT Spells.

The "Fishing" strategy can be applied to every champion who has an Essentially powerful skillshot. Ahri, Lux, Morgana, Nidalee are examples of champions that use this strategy effectively.

Also, I would be happy if she tries to land a Skillshot... Old LeBlanc could burst any Squishy with just Q-R-W. By making her E proc her passive, Riot wanted to increase the reward of it, to encourage people to actually use a dodgeable skill on a fairly long CD in order to engage an opponent. If they try "fish" with their E, then they actually give you a lot of breathing room from my perspective.

Basically, I believe that the skillshot part and snare part is coded differently. And I think its fair. Basically you are being challenged by leblanc, or the either way and both sides are in a trade situation. Both sides will take blows, or either one tries to run away dealing no damage to the other side because of the disadvantage.

Pre-rework, leblanc used to excell to ludicrous degrees in this aspect because it was a total instant, but now she her declaration to trade is dead noticable since of the mark mechanic. Since she marked you and dared you to fight, (Also being chained means she DOUBLE challenged you and she is taking a large risk as well.) your choice and degree of being punished iis basically in these orders.

  1. To kite her back The most passive outcome, leblanc is still priming her mark and you threat her so she cant proc it.

  2. To throw all you got encompassing leblanc and her returning pad so she has no choice but to take damage The aggresive outcome, basically when you know you have a abyssal this would happen

  3. Flee You positioned badly and cant trade. No choice but to back off and dodge the chain. Might die.

  4. Assassination. You took the W then a delayed QR. Youre not meant to be there in the first place. Scream out in allchat that she is op.

Yes, at least now you have a chance to fight back. From my perspective, New LeBlanc is much better than Old LeBlanc because she gives you time to fight her back.

Her numbers may need more balancing, but, overall, I think her Update was a step in the right direction.

Your Thunderlord's argument doesn't work, but I agree with the idea.
