To many times, I see people posting winrates of champions and then saying they need buffs or nerfs. Please realize that without context, winrates are meaningless.
If there was a champ with a 100% winrate, but a .000001% playrate, all it means is that the one guy who plays it is really really really good, and that it might actually justify buffs to make it more attractive to players.
Conversely, if you had a sub 50% winrate, but a 80% playrate, it would imply that the champion might need some nerfs, as it is so popular, everyone and their mother is picking it up in hopes of winning
But then you have a .6% playrate, and a sub 50% winrate, and you still dont see any buffs.
The big takeaway, is Riot doesn't care about their players. As a company their bottom line is $$$
REmember how Lee Sin was always #1 or #2 most played champion? Where are his mains now? Why aren't they playing him anymore? They didn't change his kit. Lets be real, players flock to whatever is strongest because winning is the most fun.
The reason why league is going to one shotting the enemy, is because to play it feels great knowing that you can win just by hitting two buttons before the enemy does. The downside is it makes the game feel shit to play unless you are winning. Deaths happen so fast that you are like "what killed me". Oh, right, I died to that zoe q because I was stunned by the naut.
I think the reason why previous seasons of leauge were so popular is because you had multiple skill rotations, and you could actually outplay the enemy though:
Build
Positioning
Cooldowns
Now its just I picked the champ that has the highest safety for damage output.
