So, my experience with this item that in most of the cases it's a high risk/high reward item, and it's fine like that because you can't really build it for everyone, and you can't really build it against everyone.

But.

Against junglers who have slow cleartime and generally slow gameplay (For example: Sejuani, Nautilus, Amumu) this item is just broken. You can basically camp the enemy jungle and steal literally everything, while not making a risk of it since all tanky junglers have poor trading potential. You'll take everything from them, and get more and more stuff as the game goes along. Tanky junglers got a lot of hate from Riot since they were introduced, and nothing has changed since. In the new jungle they have no damage or sustain to rely on, so they are pretty much screwed anyways. I had some pretty good Nautilus games lately, due to the fact that i'm plat V on eune, and speaking honestly, there are not many good junglers that know what they are doing. But in all seriousness, give something to tanky junglers that make them better in some cases than the Lee Sin - Rengar - Kha'zix carrytrio.

"But what about warding?" - you may ask.

Well, in soloqueue, the midlaner doesn't really care about the jungler if he doesn't gank, the botlane has their own places to ward, and if the jungler invests time and gold by warding, he will fall back even more.

"you can catch him and kill him 1v3 or 1v2"

Not really, because the item gives a load of movement speed for an easy escape. If your team doesn't react fast (and it usually doesn't since you can't communicate fast enough) then he's off trying to steal more stuff from you.

Please riot, take action and buff tanky junglers in terms of early game or clear time, or just simply movement speed. Just please, do something.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely - A sad jungler

I could be wrong but it's your laners problem. Riot can't go buffing tanky junglers because your top/mid/bot lanes won't collapse on their jungler in your jungle. In pro level the tanky junglers would be OP then because they don't have the lack of teamwork issue.

Perhaps creating/changing a smite item to root the smited if they're in your jungle for a long duration would help (or otherwise an item that makes a jungler stronger in their jungle only).

The general consensus is that the new jungle changes have made tanky junglers worse than where they were in the last season, if such a thing is possible.

From what I understand about the item, especially having used it to great effect recently, it takes advantage of lack of teamwork and knowing the enemy jungle. I played Trundle again a Naut and I know Naut very well. Every time I went into his jungle and took from it I would always leave behind wards to know his movements. Naut knowing I did this would gank often to make up the difference.

Combating this item in a nutshell is more teamwork. Soloque is a hard place to make this work because we all know not everyone likes to work together. However if you know your team won't help out and you're playing a tank jungler it doesn't hurt to buy a sightstone and ward your own jungle. It can set you behind slightly but the vision control as well as the bonus health does not hurt a tanky jungler.

You do have a point. But that doesnt really solve the initial problem since (for example) the razorbeak camp is so easy to acces and smite for the enemy jungle that a couple of wards don't matter.

True but I'd rather the enemy jungler kill my Razorbeaks and clear the wards then take anything else. If they do that I know the last location they were and which wards were destroyed so I know where to put wards back.

There a few key points to ward which is near the spot where the wolf spirit will go. The bushes near red and razor beaks are also good. Considering the buffs you want to keep watch over tend to be close together. For example everything on blue side can be easily watched with two wards, one if you got the wolf spirit. As for red side, you can ward near red buff so you know when the enemy tries to go for it or has already taken your krugs.

Having just yesterday played as Sejuani against a Nocturne with this item, I don't see the overwhelming power of this item. True I did find multiple camps of mine missing at various points throughout the game. Overall however Nocturne's impact was small. Successful ganks on my part, failures on his part, and a bit of counter-jungling of my own made me a far stronger presence than he was. A number of factors contributed to staying even with him, but he certainly wasn't crushing me and my jungle.

Then that means he was pretty bad. I was playing a Skarner against an evelynn, and at the moment i bought the item i went to her jungle. For nearly fifteen minutes i was stealing everything and running away because the other laners and such didn't really care about her. And i could fight her since skarner is generally a better dueler after a couple eve nerfs.

I think it was a tragic experience to evelynn.
