Viktor's Q

Viktor top with has become one of THE most oppressive pick's top lane recently. This is FAR from the first time this champion has single handly broken the game with a defensive item, the war flash backs of pre nerf .... UGH. I blame a single ability His Q. With the majority of mages the idea for kiting is "you keep people away with from you by landing CC but you have 0 mobility." ALL follow this pattern. There are a few exceptions obviously like W or dash but these are usually dedicated escape abilities or ultimates in the case of so mobility is overall usually something that you don't give mages. (before you say it, are both assassins, they have mage like elements but their ultimate job is to get in, delete people, then bail, thats a fucking assassin. some people i've seen in the past consider them mages... they're not)

But Viktor breaks this trend by having one of THE MOST overloaded abilities i've seen on a mage. Who thought a point and click, Speed buff that gives you a shield was a good idea? If this was his only method of kiting/staying alive i wouldn't have an issue but he has a dedicated defensive CC ability that is nearly impossible for immobile characters to leave without flash. has all skill shots for her damage, and a dedicated shield that does 0 damage, as annoying as i find that character, that's how mages should be designed, if the move is going to be point and click your range either needs to be neutered for a mage or it needs to be an ability that sets up for or only works well with other abilities in tandem that CAN be dodged

I'm not saying these champs are perfect but i AM saying that none of them have ever been this oppressive to melee characters and unable to fail damage, with a speed up plus shield while having another CC ability to kit people off to you is the entire reason why. His Q either needs to be only an enhanced auto, giving him no defensive bonus for an ability that literally cannot fail and does damage, his W needs to be hard nerfed or his Q needs to be a heavily telegraphed skill shot so it's actually justified when you land it to get defensive shit. a mages' kit should be mostly made up of skillshots, if not their range needs to be shit tier compared to other mages. You shouldn't get to have a point click ability at all IMO if you have an ability as quick and as long ranged as his E, which is the same range has Q who has ALL skill shots in exchange for that range.
