Jihn's Deadly Flourish glitch? the hit model makes no sense (pics / proof)

These pics are from C9 Vs NV game 3 Summer 2016 quarter finals, starting at about 9:37 into the game

http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a532/rvn2svn/jihn/picture%201%20jihn_zpsv0w2pvue.png Sneaky activates deadly flourish. Look where the animation goes through the left side wall. Its at the lower edge of purple flowers. It's also going to headshot the first melee minion directly in front of Smoothie.

http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a532/rvn2svn/jihn/picture%202%20jihn_zpsnzchwlvg.png The animation is ending just before the bullet flies. It's still following the original path. It's still showing that the bullet will go through those purple flowers on the left side of the wall. Now there are TWO MELEE MINIONS in the animation.

http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a532/rvn2svn/jihn/picture%203%20jihn_zpsesmthw61.png This is where everything goes to shit. The bullet is now going through the torch?? well above what the animation originally showed. It hits LOD, and it also looks like the animation is going off on the melee minion in front of Smoothie. This is supposed to be a Lux ult width stun?

Couple things

-Does this ability lock onto champions while you channel it? -Why does only one minion take damage? -Why are both LOD and the minion being hit by this.....?

Is this intended? I support main and I swear im dodging deadly flourish and it still hits me when im out of the animation.

That hitbox is one of the chief reasons I hate Jhin

I've been reporting this for a few months and no one believes me. Thank you.

This is an optical illusion. The line you drew at first appears to go under jhin when in reality it's beside him.

The actual shot is above ground, giving the illusion it's much higher.

If you look at the point where they both connect to the wall, the bottom one is slightly to the left (Your misplacement) and the actual shot is just above it.

I'm fairly certain you're observing two things:

  1. Yeah, it's a wide hitbox.

  2. Since the animation is supposed to be "above ground", and the camera isn't directly above the map, you're witnessing an effect of parllax. I believe this effect is also further compounded by the fact that some ground is higher than other ground, yet this difference in altitude affects only animations and not hitboxes, enhancing the parallax effect. Riot needs to either eliminate altitude changes in their map or make the animations adjust accordingly. A further frustrating effect is that the smartcast indicator is tethered to your champion's altitude, and does not necessarily display an ability's true range. This is why sometimes it's really hard to cast things over walls at maximum range, but some other times it's not.

ok, I think I'm understanding this a little better.

You're saying that anything that's inside the yellow line animation(from the top picture) when its at its widest point is going to get hit, regardless of how the bullet looks in flight?

yep, still don't get it. Why are Ashe and that minion taking damage from the same ability.

Minion is on the original (green) line, and has the orange halo hit effect ( directly in front of tahm, picture 3 )

Ashe is well above the original (green) line, and has the same orange halo effect
