Thunderlords vs Fervor and other keystone masteries' effectiveness

So I recently watched a video put up by Pants are Dragon about the top 5 junglers (his opinion of course). In said video he does put info such as pros, cons, builds, runes, and masteries. In the majority of champs listed, he recommends taking Thunderlord's Decree. Even on Kindred and Lee Sin, whom I presumed to want to take Fervor of battle for the overall consistent flow of damage vs the burst of Thunderlord. So it got me thinking even more about a question that I've been asking myself: how effective is "x" mastery vs "y" mastery?

This question was mainly brought about due to the tweak to fervor that it now stacks only on champions, instead of only applying to champs and being able to stack off of minions and monsters. Overall this seems to be a damage decrease due to not having the immediate damage bonus after farming minions . I can understand why this change was made, but does that mean that fervor is no longer the most optimal/effective mastery?

So what is the better choice now? Fervor or Warlord's? Can an ADC now take Thunderlord's and use it effectively? Could it be more optimal now, and could it be that fervor is to be obsolete due to Thunderlord's? ADC's are meant to be there as consistent damage, but the ramp up of needing 10 (soon to be 8) attacks, when you could deal massive amounts of burst damage in just 3 strikes.

Overall, my questions that I'm inquiring about are these:

  1. Why take Thunderlord's over Fervor on some champions in the jungle such as Kindred?
  2. Which mastery is better for ADC's and why, Warlords vs Fervor.
  3. Is Thunderlord's a good option for ADC's, and could it be better than the Ferocity tree's keystones?

  1. for all champions who auto attack somewhat frequently, fervor is MUCH MUCH better

  2. fervor is tons better for adc

  3. yes its a good option but its worse than fervor

  4. most importantly, all your questions are worthless. they dont tell you anything about the game. is fervor better? is thunderlords better? it doesnt matter. what matters is which tree is better in which situations and how valuable does is it throughout the game.

right now, cunning is very strong because of assassin and the extremely strong precision which scales super nicely.

riots mistake here is that they mix damage abilities in different trees so there will always be one tree having the better damage options. what they should do instead is put precision as a third t5 option in the ferocity tree aswell as assassin as a third option in the t4 ferocity. and they should simply remake the trees into offense, utility and defense again because this messed up shit doesnt help balancing it. if they now nerf precision again to what it was before and buff fervor, nobody will use it because it flat out sucks.
