Why don't we ever read announcements?

Placements are a thing every new season. You should know this from previous seasons.

Flex was an entirely new queue, so most of us did our placement matches for season 6 during season 7's preseason. Now that season 7 is here, we have to do our flex placements for season 7, which might feel like needing to do placements twice. (Someone who didn't play solo/duo all season and only started in preseason would be in a similar situation for solo/duo, and previous seasons also worked like that.)

It's sortof a pain to need to do 10 placement matches for solo/duo and then 10 placement matches for flex before knowing where you're starting everywhere, but at least they're relatively easy matches thanks to the reset.

...I've already spoiled my 0/10 dreams on my intentionally bronze account though, so lifes hard sometimes.
