Question about Fury and balance issues with my champion concept?

Just wondering since I'm creating a champion based around a concept similar to Fury. Does Fury reset to 0 upon death or does it stay where it was? I'm curious if my champ should have a reset to his resource upon death or not.

I am working on balance issues with my champion and not wanting people to think he is too OP.

He gains his resource (Spirit) passively, per attack, and per ability as long as the attack and or ability hit. His ultimate grants him buff bonuses and drains his Spirit (10 per second) and doesn't gain any spirit passively, on attack, or on ability. I would've kept the spirit gain on attack and ability, but due to the skill giving a passive (Extra damage against summoned enemies: Ghouls, tibbers, dead champs, etc) and the active giving bonuses to MR, attack speed, movement speed, and bonus magic damage on basic attacks I didn't want it to last for too long. Maybe I should add back in the ability to still gain spirit? It's 2 on attack and 3 on ability if they hit, but with the attack speed bonuses from his actual passive and his active on the ultimate it could lead to some pretty broken and prolonged ultimate time.

What are peoples thoughts? Is this the right place to post this? I was thinking so since this is gameplay and balance, but if it belongs somewhere else can it be moved?

Anyways, thanks!

What happens to the Fury depends on the champion. Tryndamere loses his fury because all his abilities depend on fury while Shyvanna, if not in the middle of her ult retains her fury because fury is how she activates her ult.

Then I supposed my question would be how should I do it for my champion, but thank you for the reply!

Question is how do you handle fury decay. If it's part of a specific ability, like Shyvanna's ult, no need to get rid of it on death, but if it's something that passively decays out of battle or something, then it should be at 0 when respawning.

Pretty much at 100 Spirit (After passively gaining it, on attacks, and on abilities) he activates his Ultimate which puts him into an increased state giving him increased attack speed, MR, bonus Magic damage on basic attacks based on AP, and bonus movement speed.

His Spirit then begins to decreases by 10 per second. This, without gaining anymore spirit would make it a 10s duration. It's pretty much is like Shyvana's ultimate where it decreases once the ultimate is activated.

However, if I do allow for it to still be gained, those boosts could be potentially seen as too much for too long and considered OP.

That's the only time that his Spirit Decays is once the ultimate ability is activated. So far anyways. He also gains attack speed every 20 spirit.

Maybe I messed up somewhere.

Community Creations would be the right sub-forum.

On your first question: depends on wether you furry goes down out of combat. Tryn, Rene and Gnar loose furry out of combat, death is out off combat, so they loose furry while dead.

For you balance question, you could go a similar way as Swain's ult or old Taric's ult, they have increasing mana-costs per sec the longer the ult goes. That they you could ensure that the ult doesn't last forever, while still beeing able to expand the duration by landing AAs and Abillities.

Ah, well it was mainly just for the fury question and that's part of the gameplay.

Anyways thanks for the reply. You're talking about how the longer it goes on for the more spirit it takes up while still allowing for spirit to be gained right?

That could work. Just hoping people still don't find it OP. I might also scratch the whole idea. Anyways, thanks for the reply!
