maybe it is, or maybe a lot of the higher elos (but not all) tend to have a sense of decency

building 1 item to be able to kill an entire team is just wrong

someone argued that the champions causing the problems are champions with their own on-hit effects to benefit them. That may be true, but these champions have never had problems with their on-hit effects before (except for vayne) Sated Devourer.

I played a good match recently as Sona...what happened, we faced an opposing champ with sated devourer.

Our entire team would focus the Aatrox with at least 3 seconds of crowd control...not only would we have to kill him twice, if we chose not to focus him while their ADC(backline to aatrox) attacked anyone he wasn't focusing, he would return to full health and have killed at least 2 champions

i've faced a fizz jungler that was afk for 20 minutes, literally 0 kills....he got sated devourer and suddenly our entire team couldn't touch him (skill shots had a hand in that) but it was too much

sated not op its the design of certain champions that make it utterly broken, the inc nerf to ranged devourers on PBE is because Vayne jungle is utterly broken when every other auto = true damage. That is a symptom of a larger issue with vayne, not devourer.

In the case of say MasterYi , his Q's cd is lowered from autos and devourer's effect plus is passive means Yi is untargetable most of the time while doing a ton of damage. This is an issue with Yi not devourer.

devourer is meant to be an option for jungles to do high dps but because certain champions are mechanically busted with it, it seems really op

no, it's a problem with sated dev. you're basically saying that all of the junglers that use devourer are broken, but not the item. sated dev is broken on ANY champion with on hit effects. and the only champs that use sated dev are those with on hit effects. so no, the champions are not flawed, the item is.

The champions who are consistently in the proverbial "penalty box" when it comes too buffing or nerfing all use on-hit effects and basic attacks in their damage output. Its a core issue with the whole design of on-hit effects like, crit, devourer, and attack speed. you'll find the only mages who seem to end up in the "penalty box" alot Fizz , Ekko , Kassadin, and Azir. All these mages use autos in their damage, twaeking AP numbers are easy.

The problem with AD and on-hit is it can very easily scale out of control so even with a slight change it makes a balancing a nightmare. 1 of the reasons I've had a beef with ADCs for so long is the fact that even if you give them no ratios at all the fundamantal on-hit design of things means it won't matter, they still can easily scale out of control.
