In low elo, you probably only know a few champions. As a Katarina Main, I see countless amounts of people attempt to counter pick me with someone like Diana or cho gath, but because they know nothing about these champions or their playstyle, I end up getting extremely fed anyways. Just pick who you are good with, and leave counter picking to the pros.

disregardable2 votesYou don't need to know the specific champion to know to do that. Almost every mid laner is supposed to roam bot and get free kills. It's not a difficult concept to grasp.
3ofGot40ve1 votesWhich would make sense, as any annie main would know they could follow and shut me and maybe even my bot lane down. Also there is a much wider range of faults (i.e. Not harrassing enough, not zoning with stun, etc)

I'm with you though. Those fool Swain's who think they can counter me with just a pick, or people who pick top Fiddlesticks.
I mean, Fiddlesticks hard counters Vlad, but unless you really know what you're doing then you're stuck as someone with no qualities you'd want in a top laner.

Haha, Most people do tbh. I have a lot of people In dynamic queue who get top as secondary, and ask me if I want to trade lanes So I can play darius.

Over Innsmouth1 votesWell it's that, also all of Vlad's spell ranges are within Drain's tether, so Vlad has to walk out of his own ranges to break the damn thing. Pound for pound, Fiddlesticks's Drain heals for more than Vlad's Q's can. The only thing Vlad has going for him in regards to this is to employ the same strategy when facing a Ryze or a Swain. They'll always outtrade you, so force near-fatal trades, heal up, and wait till they run out of mana.
However, because Fiddle is mana-based and likes CDR, Morello's is a very attractive item on him, especially against Vlad.
Vlad being caster-based, gets completely ruined by Fid's Silence, and 2.25 seconds of Fear isnt fun for anyone. Vlad also has no hard cc, so he doesnt have an option to solo-cancel Crowstorms channel.
Vlad's greatest strength (which a surprising amount of people don't realize) is his consistency. He will never run out of healing, and this is something I touched on before the details of the MYMU were revealed. Swain, Fiddlesticks, and even Ryze heal better than he does; until they run out of mana. Vlad will never run out of mana, and as long as he has health he'll also never run out of damage for Tides of Blood (which hits like a truck when full build).
