Riot, learn from Blizzard
They aren't afraid to let us block players from being on our team.

That system will be useless here and there in low ranks, it is VERY rare you play with the same person more then once in lower ranks, and in higher ranks, all that will do is blow up queue times.
If they implement it at the lobby level, it could be used to avoid the guy picking soraka top when someone dodges.
Remember that time when a pro Widowmaker player (iirc) was so good, so good in fact every high elo player abused the blocking mechanism to remove him from their games, which result in the said player literally being unable to play and would be stuck finding matches forever?
I heard they had to removed part of the system that allowed players to block someone from their matchmaking due to that case, but I guess it's kinda back now.
It only blocks them from being on your team. If you had watched the video, you would know that. Thus, barring a huge conspiracy at grandmaster level, blocking the widow would just put her on the enemy team and not block her from ever finding a game.

I still don't think 'pushing the toxic player to the other team' is a good rationale to start a player behaviour management related system but k, I guess if you don't personally see them that's all that matters most of the time.
It isn't replacing their report system. Did you even watch the video or are you just spewing illogical shit?

- It's for stuff that isn't quite reportable, but still annoying
- You can only have 2 people listed as avoided and for a 7 day duration.
- If one person is avoided by too many people they get a warning as if they are getting reported.
I did not say it's to replace the report system or anything along that line. I just say that the general idea that 'if I don't see the toxic player it's k, they can be on the enemy team for all I care' is a bit of an issue.
But I also say that "I guess if you don't personally see them that's all that matters most of the time."
And if he is toxic, the other team can block him. If he accumulates too many, he gets a warning.
That's stupid as fuck just like most of Blizzard's decisions.
The Overwatch team is fuckin awful and I sincerely hope Riot NEVER copies their bullshit on any level.
Yeah, Riot does that and D1/Master/Challenger reach hour long queues, even with autofill.
It´s a bad idea to implement that in League.
and OW has grandmaster. If longer queue times aren't expected there, why would you assume league is different.
Does Grandmaster have a 200 people limit that updates every 24 hours?
I just want that love dev to fucking work on that matchmaking. Is retarded as fuck and the biggest throwoff in this game
I don't think its necessarily a BAD idea. Also I like Blizzard. They are a good company that actually REALLY cares about their player base.
Atleast more than Riot does I think.
(I don't mean to pick on you guys! xoxoxo <3 )
