Keystones Aren't the Only Things That Need To Be Fixed
The entire pre-season mastery set up needs to be fixed. There's almost no diversity whatsoever. I use pretty much the same masteries on every single champion, AD or AP. Maybe I'll change a tier here and there, but other than one tier, nothing else changes unless you're playing a tank. Even then, some tanks use the resolve/ferocity tree set-up.
I'll literally use the same masteries I use on Ahri, who is a Ranged AP Burst-Mage Assassin, on Riven, who is a Melee AD Fighter. This shouldn't be the case. I liked the old masteries where if you were AD you typically went with the first and second column of offesnive and if you were AP you typically went with the third and fourth. There were also more masteries to choose from, so it added more diversity to the set-up. If I wanted extra damage on my autoattacks to help last hit on an AP champion, I could go with spell-blade and that one mastery at the top of the fourth column. However, if I was confident in my ability to last hit, I could take some masteries in the first column to increase my damage output to champions.
Nowadays there's not much diversity. The same 12/18/0 page every game. Changing one tier of masteries like from biscuit to the 1.5% damage increase in tier 2 of resolve when changing from Ahri to Zed, but the rest is exactly the same. I, personally, would like to see diversity in masteries again, and feel like I have a choice of what masteries to take.
