Should Supports Stay With Junglers Until They Finish Their Bot Camps?

Figure as long as the adc can farm without getting harassed for 2 waves by the support staying with the jungler it prevents any counter jungling early on in the game. I want your opinions as critical as it may be

Only if you duo with the adc and your level 2 isn't critical for the lane. Oh, and your jungler is fine with it.

In general, though, it's a terrible decision for soloq. Your ADC will get poked, you'll have poor level 2 timing and, more than likely, the enemy botlane will just zone your AD from most of cs.

I've been playing jungle alot lately and i've realized how important it is to the macro game. I want to find a way in solo queue where the jungler can sustain long early on to be able to put pressure across the whole map

I am a former jungler main and I can tell you right now, a good jungler can do a full clear with any champion, no matter who it is, and if the jungler gets executed, then they downright fucked up and should feel embarrassed, whenever a jungler tells me "hard leash" I roll my eyes and go "so you just fucking suck at kiteing camps and properly pathing?"

To be honest, I like hard leash on some champs, for example Nidalee when I want to gank or invade level 2/3. Hard leash is not always a show of poor kiting, it may be an early strategy element. If I get a hard leash as Nidalee and I know which buff the enemy jungle starts, it quite often results in first blood or at least summs.

The OP was talking about early invades . Which, tbh, is countered by one ward from mid or jungle himself.

nidalee has one of the best clears in the game, if u can properly manage her resets when u start w, u can be near full health by level three

She does, but you want to be there when the enemy jungler starts his buffs. You need hard leash to smite blue (against stronger junglers, to level 2 invade) - to clear the buff faster and be full hp/close to full MP when invading - or you can just hold smite at level 3 for contesting the enemy buff.

If you don't get a hard leash, against most junglers by the time you reach the buff, they will have the path warded and you'll have a very limited time window to contest/kill them.

It's honestly not THAT complicated, it's hard, but it's not THAT hard, you feel?

Watch a few games of Rush or Meteos play nidalee, they do the resets very well in the clears

Some champions have issues if you don't take Scuttle Crabs (i.e. Kha'zix, Wukong). However, those are typically fine after you purchase the second component of your jungle item.

Honestly the only jungler I ever struggled on was Rengar mainly because his sustain completely relys on how you use his stacks

No, stay bot with ur adc. When enemy jungler invades, get there first lol

The only problem is that sometimes they refuse to leave their lane

I'm gonna say no, since the xp drained and the cost of the possibility of the support taking the jungle creeps would be game changing. It would just make the invades 2v2 or 2v1 if your support doesn't want to go with that.

tldr: I don't think the xp starved roles should delay their levels for a situational benefit.

I might have to agree with you on this, you are right it is a situational benefit, something that doesnt happen too often

In general no. The only time you would do this is if you are hard countered in bot and you are just gunna sit under tower and your jungle has early sustain issues.

You're better of using early wards and harassing the enemy junglers for about 10 seconds on a camp. Then running to lane.

For example dropping a ward on red side blue at around the 110 mark and being a karma or Annie can be an easy first blood. Not that it doesn't come with its own risks tho..

Better to just ban Nidalee and Elise.

double jungle isn't a bad idea but it's better for the top laner to do it so they can tp to lane

Allowing the jungler to possibly finish all his camps before he has to back once could really benefit the team for early game ganks. Having the top laner would be better but that is if they are willing to give up a wave to allow for this

If I go Raka, I will go with them to 2nd camp pop 1 heal. ANd go to ADC, IF adc dies in the 15 secs i gave are jungler another heal then the adc should not adc.

I don't think having a support help clear the entire bot jungle would be beneficial in any way. In fact, I think it would slow down the jungler's progression because XP is the most important growth stat prior to level 4 for a jungler. Anything that saps that away is going to slow down the amount of pressure they can apply early, which really inhibits their overall impact on the game.

The only way I can see having a clear shared being worth is if you double jungle with a top laner who actually needs that xp, but the jungle changes this season pretty well took the benefit out of that strat.

There may be a fringe case where a Braum or Thresh can return to lane with an early lv.2 for an all-in, but with a Relic Shield I doubt they'd get there faster splitting the jungle than they would staying in lane and cashing in their executions.

I just play Bard and support them without even being there

ltmetal1 votes

It's a bad idea overall, since at least one of the three people involved (support, jungler, or ADC) will wind up getting a late level 2. Level 1-3 is everything in the current meta, so you can't allow your opponent to beat you to any of those levels if you can help it.

ok if i am the support, and i dont babysit my adc for 2 second, my adc will rage and /all report noob support.
