Juggernauts should't be able to 1v1 you just because they are a Juggernaut

So I made a post about my Rek Sai game where im 1.5 items up on the sett. and he could still 1v1 me because of how high his numbers are.

The response I got was "Well ofc. He is a juggernaut in a 1v1"

No. Fucking no.

If you are justifying a champ saying "Oh yea if you are a melee you should LITERALLY NEVER be able to 1v1 him." Maybe you need to reconsider what you are thinking about Balancing. Just because they are a juggernaut doesn't mean they should be so absolutely insane that you cant 1v1 them.

Is Sett the most balanced release in a while? Yea. Doesn't mean he is balanced.

So... what the hell you want juggernauts to do? They are meant to demolish people who they are able to get to. Their entire thing is this massive beings that can take and dish massive amounts of damage. In return they are easily kitable, have very limited (if any) mobility and very questionable target access. So their entire pattern is finding ways to get on top of someone so they can cave their face in.

Not every champion is created equal. Some excel in 1v1s, others excel in teamfights while others are somewhere in between. You wanting to duel someone who excels in 1v1 scenarios is you not playing to your win conditions and instead playing to the win conditions of the enemy.

Wait how did you loss 1 v 1 Rek'sai vs Sett with that lead? You must have badly misplayed.

Edit: went through you match history looks like you build item 3748 instead of item 3053 probably didn't press R during his W animation either. User error not balance issue

Being strong in small fights and weak in full fights is basically what defines a juggernaut.

As for Sett, he's broken independently from what juggernauts are or what they're supposed to do. But even if he were balanced, he's still going to 1v1 you as Rek'Sai, as he should.

And assassins shouldn't 1v1 mages and adcs just because they are assassins. And supports shouldn't autolose 1v1 just because they are supports. But the game isn't working like this. If a champion has an enormous weakness of being easy to kite, he should be quite strong if not kited. If Reksai could 1v1 Sett , whats the point of picking him when you can pick Reksai and be just as strong in melee 1v1s while also having nice mobility and CC?

yes, juggernauts should be able to 1v1 you because they are juggernauts. However, it generally takes them so long to catch you AND duel you, that its extremely rare that they will ever truely have the oppurtunity to 1v1 you. And if you misposition so hard, that you get caught in a extended 1v1 with a Juggnernaut, well thats on you.

The thing is, as Rek'Sai, if you don't want to fight Sett, he cannot force you to fight him. So yeah, you literally never CAN 1v1 him. But you literally never HAVE to 1v1 him either, unless you get caught out or ambushed, and that's your mistake. Pick your fights. Don't try and fight when you can't win and nothing forces you to. Darius would have won too, Illaoi too, Garen too, and Nasus too if it's past 20 minutes, with the same item gap. Probably Kled too, if you count him as a Juggernaut, and definitely Urgot too if it's past level 13.

(And, I mean, no 1.5 items isn't enough. But if you're 2-3 levels ahead and 2 full items, you can 1v1, so it's not actually-never "never", it's just not-in-most-realistic-circumstances "never".)
