Is Kassadin good at all?

I try to play kassadin out of desperation because i think just maybe he is actually good because i used to play him a lot, but Now I cant figure out where Kassadin is good anymore...

He's really an awkward champion, I think. Reasons why:

He has a fairly high skill floor with a lower skill cap (hard to use, harder to master).
He doesn't fit into many compositions (i.e. compositions have to be tailored to him).
His damage is mediocre for the risk he has to take to get it.

The only thing that he really has going for him is his insane mobility, which was recently nerfed without any significant buff to compensate for it. I've had issues trying to play him in the past, but I know he's good in niche situations, such as triple AP comps in which the ADC is going to be too focused on another target to burst you. I haven't really seen him outside of tournament events for these reasons.

He's still viable in certain situations, but don't play him unless you really enjoy doing so. I've had great success with him, but not nearly as consistent as i did before this change: V4.14:

Riftwalk Empowerment stack duration increased to 20 seconds from 12.

And then of course the range nerf on R didnt help.

He has amazing mobility that is true, but their is no good damage follow up from him anymore. I agree with FLUFFYSAURUS REX. Sure weaken his ultimate, but if he is going to be considered a Assassin then he needs tweaking on his damages Otherwise it's not worth taking him into games, esspecially, ranked games
