The Marksman update was a great success (maybe with Quinn and/or Graves as exceptions), Dynamic Queue is one of the best things to ever be released for League of Legends, and the Assassin update will be another great success, Riot have been doing a fabulous job.
Also, listening to players isn't always the best option, do you want mana potions back? I definitely don't. Do you want boot enchantments back? I definitely don't. And both of these decisions were hated by most of the community.
And finally, like I said before, I know people who boost accounts, they can get a bronze V account to gold very quickly, how on earth could they do that and most other people not be able to when it's only 1% the player? Maybe because it's not 1% the player, it's much more player-reliant than you think.
P.S. when you solo queue, you will have 4 allies which could be trolls or afks, while the enemy team has 5 which could be trolls or afks, so just from that stat alone, if you don't afk or troll, you're at an immediate advantage.
