Using different languages in chat and why Korea has it made
Every time I watch a korean stream on the Korean server they almost always have a completely English name, or a partially English name. The rest is Korean. The chat is also often filled with mostly Korean, and some English here and there.
Which is why I pull into question the fact that we can only use English on the NA server, and not Korean at all.
Why can they use English in their names, and chat. When we can't even use Korean in our names?
I live in an area with a LOT of Koreans they make up a HUGE portion of our population all things considered (Most of our signs out here have Korean on them due to this but not French, which is the recognized second language in Canada) I have friends and people I know who speak Korean as their native language. Because of this, they want to be able to speak their language in-game. It's a language they know better and type faster in. And I, being someone -trying- to learn the language want to talk back to them in it as much as possible.
This language barrier just seems stupid. Why can the Koreans use multiple languages but we can't? I made a new account recently and I was kind of excited cause I was going to write the name in Korean but it told me I couldn't put "Special characters"
I know this doesn't effect 90% of the people playing on NA. But for the Koreans who transfer to NA teams, or the Koreans who live here in Canada/U.S.A which there are a LOT of them. It's a problem, and it's one that has the easiest solution. Just let us use "Special characters" like this.
(This also applies for other languages with special characters like Chinese, I'm just using Korean as an example cause the Korean scene for League is extremely popular)
P.S I'm posting this in "gameplay" because the ability to communicate properly effects gameplay.
