This is borderline griefing Rito

Normally the ranked system is fine for me. I don't exactly get the best matchups in the world but I also don't get the worst so I don't really care.

But this game, holy shit this game.

I should clarify the title is intended for Rito not the player. Rito is borderline griefing our game, not the player. Not his fault he doesn't know 99% of this game he's brand new.

I SHOULD ALSO NOTE: The original post got deleted by Rito cause "can't talk about other players performance on the boards god forbid considering we do the exact same thing about pro players on here but regular players is too far!"

So I removed the name from the pic:

So now that the pic is altered and you can't find his name I guess it's okay to post now. Back on topic:

This is pathetic.

They put a brand new level 30 player (Notice 80+ normals wins) on a team with the lowest other normals wins being 700+

They put an unranked player with 80 wins on a team with 3 medium silvers one low silver and a gold.

They put one unranked player with 80 wins on my team: And one unranked player with 780 wins on the other team (Who had silver last season)

This teemo went 1/13/5 he fed like the red cross in africa

What about this makes sense? as far as Rito knows this player is brand new. He just got here just got to level 30 then immediately qued for ranked even though he's basically a bambi (Bambi = term in Dayz for a person who just joined)

I have over 2,000 normals games 1200+ wins and I've been high silver for the last 3 seasons. I'm not top shit, but I'm also not new to the game. So why is it pairing me with someone brand new?

I'm not saying this game was lost from the start but this Teemo is basically a 4v5

He never spoke all game no matter how many times we tried to talk to him (not even being rude at least I wasn't idk about the others) and then he feeds his laner like mad. It was basically like having a beginner bot on our team.

Placements. They are a thing were players are put into matches to see where they fall.

I just thought that I should let you know that pretty much anyone can find his name. They just have to look at your Match History. It takes about 5 seconds.

On the topic of the post, yeah, this kind of stuff sucks. I don't know how Riot determines who people are put against when doing placements, but no matter where they go, someone is gonna have a bad time. If it's too high, they'll drag their team down. If it's too low, they'll solo-stomp the enemy team. My assumption is that Riot puts them against mid-Silvers initially, and lowers/raises them based on their performance.

When players first start ranked, they are given a provisional mmr of 1300, which equates mid silver. Everyone is given that same mmr regardless of past normal history (normals don't affect ranked in any way). The challenger smurf will have 1300 MMR, the genuine newbie fresh into level 30 will have 1300 MMR. As they win or lose their placements, their MMR shifts accordingly and after the 10th placement game they are placed in the ELo correspondent to the final MMR. But until then the system will be under- or overestimating a lot of players that are still in their placements, and since most placement games take place at silver ELO (because of the default MMR being silver), it means that often silver games are rather lopsided. It's just the way it is.

Also ELO and MMR are different things, and even after they've been placed it's perfectly possible to have a silver ELO and a gold MMR, or a gold ELO and a silver MMR. When that happens the player will be gaining more/less LP when they win and losing less/more LP when they lose, and eventually their MMR and ELO will synchronize. But until then the gold player will be playing with silvers and the silver player will be playing with golds.

+1 +1 +1 +1 +1 ALL THE +1 RISE TO THE TOP

Honestly, even if there is a provisional MMR, he should be matched evenly with players with the near the same amount of games as him or are also in their provisionals. I know it might take them a lot longer to find a game but at least it won't ruin their game or the game of others. Tbh, Riot should just use their Normal Game MMR or something, you can't expect them to play like a Silver just because it's ranked when all they've played are Normals.

Because ritos match making system sucks and will always suck and will never find balance no matter how many people ask and no matter how many solutions and ideas are created to help fix it.

No, this is simple. I feel like I just created a thread on this yesterday. These players are just in their placement games, and they are matched with higher skill level players like yours, as the matchmaking system wants to see in the first 2 or 3 games if a player is ready for Gold + or not. Basically, after the first few placement games, these unranked players will eventually end up where they belong. How do i know this? I am in my third placement game, and I got matched with players just like you!
