As a Sejuani main, I'm looking forward to her nerfs.

Because I'm sick and tired of her being banned every single game.

I just want to play my favorite champion again.

I hate Sej She doesn't have a line that says ''I'M ON A BOAR, MOTHERFUCKER''

That's just a waste of a character ;-;

revliledpembroke2 votes

"OINK OINK MOTHERFUCKER!" would be better, I think, even if I am stealing it from League of Gan.

And so it was that Rammus was nerfed every patch, until the end of time.

EXACTLY

I don't care how strong she is, I just like playing her :c

Vellich0r1 votes

a satisfying champ for sure, but now that she is in the spotlight I dont think she can be even balanced without people overplaying her. It's unfortunate because before the item she was easily one of the strongest junglers in the game for solo queue, but nobody played her. Now she is stealing the spotlight and people who were on board the sej boar before it was popular are the losers.

Welcome to the flavor-of-the-month zone. Enjoy your champion being "OMG NEEDS NERFS NAO" status and being unable to play said champion until Riot dumpsters them with repeated nerfing and then magically manages to forget they exist for years afterward.

You should pick up Lee Sin or Nidalee so you can be "flavor of the month" for 36 months without real nerfs :D

Black Paper Moon4 votes

Be fair, Lee Sin has gotten his share of significant nerfs:

  • Cripple no longer reduces attack speed and its range was reduced from 800 to 600 units.
  • Safeguard cooldown was increased from 9 to 14 seconds when jumping to something other than allied champion, and gives no shield then.
  • Iron Will no longer grants extra armor.
  • Flurry's attack speed bonus was reduced to 40% from 50%.
  • Sonic Wave's missing health damage was reduced to 8% from 10%.

In fact, Lee Sin has been nerfed heavily since release. He's exceptional in that Riot takes a light-touch approach to him, but they're not unwilling to tune him down. He's no longer a god-mode monster capable of shitting on any other jungler 1v1: he's now merely being a strong, mobile versatile pick with excellent clearing, ganking and counter-jungling capabilities and the highest base ability damage of any bruiser. He could probably use some additional tuning or restrictions so that he doesn't excel at everything the jungle is supposed to do without any tradeoffs save for a mediocre late-game.

Shinjusuke2 votes

Those nerfs came out over four years while he's been a dominant (if not the dominant) force in the jungle every single season since his release. Meanwhile, take Kha'zix and his like 6 nerfs patch after patch after patch the week he started being a jungle problem, or Sejuani in her current state.

Riot favors Lee Sin. If you need me to, I can find quotes from Morello, the head of the balancing team stating outright that they know Lee Sin needs nerfed and haven't done it because he's popular. As in "this is not paraphrasing, these are his words".

Not to mention, only the Cripple nerf can be called "significant", the rest have been love-taps at best. And love-taps are perfectly fine and should be the standard, except they haven't remotely fixed the problem, and are just there because Riot refuses to sack up and actually take care of the jungler design abomination that is Lee Sin, fanboys-be-damned. But they won't, because he's popular. Nidalee has the same near-immunity.

I'm sick of waiting literal years for them to "tone down" someone who need nerf-hammered several years ago so he's forced to have an actual role and actual build path and actual weaknesses. Way past the "he needs a little love-tap" point, and the Lee Sin fanboys need to get off their stupid crutch champion and open their eyes, because they're just as blind as the champion they play.

Good point, sir. I just wonder about Draven, because for SOME REASON, I just can't play against him. Maybe I just suck...

Vellich0r1 votes

yeah :( I mean dont get me wrong, she hella needs nerfs right now, I play games with her where I do more damage than the enemy team does as sej bear. It just makes me sad that she is gonna get dumpstered now :(

TonyTonyMordecai2 votes

Yeah. Same. But Amumu has been fun lately so I forgot about Sej :( Sorry, fUrgot *

Amumu needs nerfs too :P

Guessing by how hard her winrate has been plumetting in recent days, I'll bet it drops below Amumus before the nerf hits.

Vellich0r1 votes

her winrate is dropping thanks to more and more people who suck with her and dont even know how to sej bear trying to pick her up because she is so grossly overpowered right now. Last I checked she still has a 58% winrate with a 14% popularity.

TonyTonyMordecai1 votes

Amumu hasn't seen any nerfs/buffs anyway... It's just the item. Plus you need actual skill to land his Q, no facerolling allowed.

Vellich0r1 votes

Eh, it takes less skill than a lee sin Q (which isn't saying much) both are very forgiving skill shots, but Amumu's is slightly more forgiving (Except in the regard that if it lands he doesn't get a choice about whether or not he goes in)

TonyTonyMordecai1 votes

True, true.

Just switch out to the more OP jungle Sion until the masses figure it out and move across.

SHHH! We don't want him getting nerfed!

despite being more unkillable and terrifying (and generally my preference), i actually think sion is a bit weaker in that his teamfight isn't as reliable.

shalexade4 votes

Sejuani's crowd control is fantastic. She has her gap closer, he slow and dat ult.

1.75 AOE long range stun. It's great.

Sion, on the other hand, has a 2.25 second AOE knockup on a (with CDR) 4 second cooldown

and a long range slow, and a gap closer.

Like Sej, he's obscenely strong in team fights, and deals tons of damage while building tanky.

He is a lot less forgiving of mistakes though, making for hilarious highlight reels. :D

Meh, give it a crack. Full Tank Jungle Sion will be complained about (then nerfed) soon. (Then we move onto full tank jungle Gragas :D)

Remlap12232 votes

STOP BRINGING UP THE SLEEPER CHAMPS GODDAMNIT! Riot is more than willing to nerf everything in this game, regardless of how actually strong they are!

junglerboy164 votes

I've been playing a lot of Sion ever since the relaunch, and I'll tell you this; His team fight is only unreliable if you try to initiate alone. If you let somebody else drop a CC first and then charge in from half a map away, you almost always land your full CC combo on the enemy team. Sion kind of sucks at primary initiation, but his followup engage is ABSURD.

that i agree with. sion and sejauni in the same team gets kind of horrifying

FirstSergeantBim1 votes

Yes, thank you for your input, I concur. It basically comes down to this: Sion's team fight potential is much higher as long as you're clever enough to land his skill shots.

shalexade2 votes

Fair call- the dude is broken. :D and HILARIOUSLY FUN to play!

Awoof1 votes

Joke's on you, there is already a nerf for him.

junglerboy161 votes

Yeah, my point is we don't want him nerfed more. He needed the nerfs they have on PBE right now, but those will leave him in an excellent spot.

TBadger2 votes

My main champions have always been tanky jungler's like sejuani, sion, shyvanna (all the S champions) and rammus, and I really like cinder hulk as an item, I just hope it doesn't mean they're going to nerf all these champions into the ground again, just because they've FINALLY done something good for them.

I mean, they've been having a difficult time in the jungle for the whole of season 5 and pre season, and they weren't even especially power full last season as it was the carry jungler that dominated. It would be really taking the piss for riot to for once, finally, give tank junglers a hand only to cut off both their legs a patch later.

This is the struggle of every person who loves a champ that becomes FOTM. Hang in there friend ;-;7

Gorgiolio1 votes

Well maybe if she wouldn't be so damn strong she wouldn't. Her ultimate can win whole team fights, good dps, and straight CC for Dayzzzzz. So obnoxious to deal with. She was good before cinderhulk, now she's just a pain to deal with.

KaisadiIIa1 votes

Her ultimate can win whole team fights

Yeah, she's the only champion that can win a teamfight with a good ultimate.

Amumu Annie Fiddlesticks Galio Hecarim Kalista Kennen Malphite Nami Orianna Velkoz Zyra

Some of them have better ultimates than Seju.

Gorgiolio1 votes

Was that the only point you took out of comment. More than half of those champions listed aren't as tanky, with damage to go with. I'm also talking about just the jungle. She outshines so many champs now, so she needs adjusted. I mentioned the ultimate thing since she has that ON TOP of all her other very strong points. However, I'm sure it's just that I'm Gold V trash and talking out my ass.

I felt the same way as a lucian main when he was getting banned every game back in season 4. haha, dont worry, they will nerf her some to get her in line with all the other junglers. Then, once she's no longer way stronger than the other junglers and is actually pretty balanced they'll nerf her some more and more and more until she's one of the worst junglers LIKE THEY DID MY LUCY. (I have trauma)

Lucian has randomly come back in a big way to the LCS, so I think he's underrated as an ADC right now.

KaisadiIIa1 votes

I never saw Lucian as OP. Until they "reworked" him to have a free 0 cost dash that could be down to ~3 second CD.

We just have to accept that every champion is susceptible to be randomly considered "OP" and thus being nerfed or changed for no reason.

jade harley BARK1 votes

Do you think her jungle is going to be worse now? I already have issues getting through 2 of my buffs (barely surviving the 2nd)...Pretty sure I'm going to have to back after 2 camps now.

n810m1 votes

It's only a nerf to her later game. The ult change doesn't affect damage at all (and if you use it like how you're supposed to, it won't affect you at all) and the W nerf is only a 0.5% nerf to her Lv 2 W for the harder clear.

MeekNA1 votes

Please nerf Naut as well :( been playing him support for years, now i'm "lol lcsSheep" :(, at least i only had to suffer a few weeks of metasheep for vegiar :( (rip vegiar support since s2 :( )

KaisadiIIa1 votes

I don't think Nauti support will become a thing, so don't worry, people will forget him soon (I hope).

btw I remember these years Nautilus was more a support than it was a jungler.

WeFlyNoLie1 votes

I wouldn't consider myself a Sejuani main, but I have been playing her before her rework frequently as an answer to needing a tank jungler. ( I personally think she was stronger pre-rework)

I'd like to see her just drop off the spotlight so I can actually play her again.

Its amazing how one item pushes an already strong champion into the ban spotlight.

coppinslinger1 votes

Let's not forget the gromp changes helped her enormously as well. Moreover, cinderhulk was a flat buff to tank junglers across the board, but Sejuani benefits from these changes directly AND indirectly in the fact that it creates a meta more favorable to tank junglers. Sejuani has %health dmg built into her kit while also having the ability to efficiently work Liandry's into her build-path (As gromp, and her AoE dmg + slow synergize so well with it). Thus Sejuani can both be a tank and an anti-tank simultaneous - something that not every tank jungler can do.

Then you just add the fact that her dmg was massively over-tuned to begin with and it's hard to see why Sejuani isn't perma-banned this patch :/

Tentacle Love1 votes

Solution: have more than one favorite champ. (I know, it's not much of a solution.)

Though honestly, I was waiting for her to be a little more viable, and now... :(

KaisadiIIa1 votes

I play her with my Traditional skin just to say "look, I was already playing her before she was "OP" "

Also, I have a similar problem with LeBlanc. And Lissandra. And let's pray nobody picks Talon at LCS.

tl;dr: I hate metasheeps.

Magicians Red1 votes

Speaking as a noob who mained Warwick before the patch 4.20 Smite-Ult-Delete debacle happened, I sincerely hope Sejuani survives her nerfs. RIP in Piece WW
