Can someone explain why turrets hate me?

This has happened for the past few games: I take a bunch of minions to a turret, two or three of them die and suddenly i'm getting targeted. and before you say something like "Oh, maybe the minions were just right outside the turret area!" Let it be known that all the minions were withing range and attacking the turret (like, within HUGGING distance.) Oh! But now you probably think "Okay, maybe you just shot at the enemy champ by accident!" Nope. I would almost ALWAYS kill the champ before the even got to the turret. Or they'd recall. So no enemy player was there when I attacked it. My score a few matches ago was something like 5/14/7 9 of those deaths were because the turret shot at me for no reason
