I'm guilty

Towards the mid game when lanes are doing poorly. I will be upset that somebody picked a genuinely terrible champ.

Specifically a few matches ago several lanes were not doing well and the only thing I could say about our mid was that he picked Talon. Because Talon was hardly a presence at any point in the game. It hurts more that he started with a BORK over something with higher damage.

There is a hardcore Urgot main who carried himself out of silver playing primarily Urgot.

You can win using anything at this elo. But you're not guaranteed to win with it every game.

Cut people slack on this, let them enjoy themselves

I'd argue that there are no genuinely terrible champs. Only quirky champs played by players who are unfamiliar with them. Anyone who gets to know their champ inside and out is going to be able to beat most of the rest of the players in Bronze and Silver in a 1v1 situation. LoL is a team game and there are times I've seen someone got 32/5/10 in a game only for his side to lose because he didn't work with the team and those quirky champions did just enough to give the other team the victory.

I think when more people start to understand this. (extremely unlike as it is.) the game will become much more fun for the vast majority of people playing.
