Just had a level 1 disconnect.
But i was playing dota so i didn't lose any mmr, left the game immediately and queued for another.

The person that disconnected/afk is still punished. Abandoned and low priority queue (which is games served, not time based). If the DC/afk occurs in the first 5minutes and prior to first blood, the game is not scored and everyone can leave. Smurf accounts are not as prevalent so getting stuck in low prio queue does suck. Also, dota lanes and comps are far more dynamic than lol's so poor choices can be remedied with better team play.
