So here I am trying to finish my promos with mid filled 2 times into jungle... what's my incentive for playing those games exactly? Before I was at least advancing my rank.
Maybe I just misunderstand how this system works post-promos?
I mean, I'm forced to play with people who intentionally feed, grief, AFK, refuse to cooperate with the team and get the win.
Yeah, it's about the same as it used to be. Just another hurdle to overcome since Iron now exists.

The splash LP is why its worth trying. You will still gain or lose a few points so trying will still advance your main role but without the huge risk. No more getting autofilled jungle in your promos when you havent played it all season.
Say you main Jungle, and you get Secondary/Auto-Filled. If you win that game, you get Full LP for the role you're on as well as a smaller amount of LP for your Main Role. If you happen to lose, it doesn't really matter because it's no your main role, and your main role loses less than if you were to have been auto-filled and lost in any previous season.
The new system didn’t add autofill, it just makes autofill not effect your main role.
Autofill was always a waste of time and only kept in place so that riot can keep flex queue up. It isn’t even needed in solo queue, riot just keeps it so solo players don’t have more incentive to leave flex.
