Riot You're Killing Me

Every few weeks I look forward to reading the patch notes. I always get heavily excited with what changes/ buffs/ nerfs/ fixes occur in the game. I like reading what values on abilities were adjusted and the reasoning behind the changes. However I feel like the majority of the balance adjustments seem insignificant on a lot of champions or purposefully implemented to punish champions so they would be played less. Likewise some champions don't necessarily need certain buffs but instead as a whole need better itemization options. To me, a huge portion of the champion pool seems to be underplayed and undervalued. Does this mean that those champions are weaker? Maybe. Does this mean they need buffs? Not necessarily. Slight tweaks and adjustments to balance the champ pool would be nice. I don't want to sit in draft and see the same picks/bans every time. The game gets increasingly old, especially with the same map. Felt like a long time ago there were distinct champions who were dominate in lane and they became the baseline but a good majority of champions felt like they were roughly around the same level of power. Now we have a slowly increasing number of champions with multiple passives, dual function abilities, low risk/high reward kits, and an ever increasing array of champions with hard CC.

Where does it end and when does the real balancing start?

What is going to happen to champions who hardly see play time?
