Season 5 Jungle- improving counterjungeling

Counterjungeling is basically worthless unless you can snag the enemies buffs(Or are Nunu ), as the camps respawn quickly enough.

What if in season 5, riot greatly increased the gold/xp from jungle camps, making them worth contesting. But we don't want farm junglers to suddenly become overfed. So we nerf the jungle camp(non-buff) respawn rate( by 20-35%?), making stealing and clearing the jungle camps more attractive.

As compensation to the decreased avaliability of jungle camps, feral flare would have its transform stack cap reduced to 25 or so, or kills/assists now grant 2 stacks each instead of one.

Thoughts?

disagree on the feral flare attacks for kills/assists. It basically makes farm junglers worse with feral flare and assassins better? Just outright reducing stacks to transform and giving slightly more per stack would be better.

I think a better way to make counter jungling more effective would be too introduce "streaks". Increase the gold/xp for each successive kill of each camp by the same team, and thus if you steal a camp you reset the other team's streak, greatly reducing their reward for all future kills of that camp. slightly lower base values, put a cap on the increase, and we may have something?

That's only if everyone agrees counter jungling needs help. You can leave a little creep to stop the respawn. You also counter for vision, which is arguably more important than a couple camps.

Back to S1 in that case. Might as well make the jungle kick your ass again too.

And if the fastest junglers can literally outpace the jungle respawn, they're forced to gank, which is something that Riot has been working against for three seasons now. I personally like the streak idea above and agree that it's already an attractive idea just to steal the big creep in a given jungle camp or to leave just the little one.

No thanks, if the enemy invades with a better 1v1 champ and your team doesn't care to help (as usual in yolo queue) then you might as well afk as the jungler. Counterjungling is toxic in solo queue.

(Saying this as someone who used to counterjungle with "useless because too easily counterjungled" S2 Sejs)
