She's on sale and I don't have her so I decided to check her out. She's got a lot of nifty CC in her kit, her R and W in particular. I've never seen nor heard of using her as a Support, but surely it would be possible? Kind of like how Zyra wasn't meant to be a Support but her kit just lends her to that role?

She has some cc but it's a bit variable.
her main identity is high sustained damage by spamming fang on poisoned targets, which requires risky/up close positioning, which is less risky with the extra income/exp from solo laning because she'll likely win a straight up trade, but if she lacks that gold as support she'll probably lose the same trade.
TL:DR with solo resources, she can cc and continue to be a threat, with support resources she can cc and continue to be slightly annoying or gets killed(unless she snowballs from kill godl which is hyper variable).

inplane1 votesShe's not very good as a Support. I've tried it before and it's mediocre at best. She's too reliant on items and her W is really awkward. It was better before the rework since it spread out and gave vision. It could work with a powehouse like 
or a long-ranged sniper like 
, but that is if the enemy laners don't know how to trade. A good

Thørn1 votesI've done cass support quite a few times (before and after her rework), and it's a lot of fun, but it is risky. My best game with it was when I was supporting my Twitch against a Lucian/Thresh bot lane. The Grounded CC was extremely useful in putting pressure onto them.
That and Spellthief gold is easy to proc. The real issue with playing her as a support though, is her high mana costs for her skittles and miasma. So long as your ADC is onboard with it, I usually rush a tear before my sightstone (So that I can continue to poke and zone). She's great vs mobile carries due to grounded, but unless your running some MS quints (or landing your Q's), it can be a little tricky to stay out of reach.
And fun fact, running 45% CDR grants you a shorter twinfangs CD than pre-rework Cass's Twinfangs onto a poisoned target :3
