I loved being able to build sustain so I could actually do long term control engagements but ... damn.

Damn.

I'd hope it'd finally be unlocked from Vladimir, but not like this.

Out of curiosity, how are you planning on altering your build with it's removal and the new AP items? I used to "main" Syndra and am looking into playing her again, and was wondering what your opinions were on how her play style is going to change with the Ap item changes and passive changes.

Sustain build is essentially dead with maybe the RoA build pseudo-replacing it. Over all, new build looks to be 'Tear->Morello's->Void Staff->Archangel's->Boots->Deathcap/Luden's/Zhonya's/Frozen Heart/Rylai's', depending on match progression. Anti-AD builds will most likely be RoA->Void Staff->Morello's, then whatever big rod items afterwards.

Archangel's+RoA in the same build is a dicey proposition because of how wonky the power curve is.
