Started to play Twisted Fate, and this is so freakin annoying.

I'll keep this short, because I could probably write a few paragraphs describing how this affects a few aspects of the game. Yasuo's windwall animation starts on top of him, not infront. This means that if you panic cast windwall just as a spell is about to hit you, regardless of which way you cast it, it will always block the spell. Really is annoying when people in low ELO can dominate off of a simple mechanic that allows them to counter a champion with no skill needed. Please change this to start infront of him so that he can at least be hit from behind like when Braum casts his sheild. Its not a nerf, he still has windwall, just make it a QOL change for everyone else that the skill functions in a logical way. Tyvm

EDIT: I am not being specific to a Twisted Fate Yasuo matchup. I can deal with it, I was just making an observation that the windwall isn't made logically and should follow the mechanics of Braum's shield.

TF has cooldowns far far lower than windwall. Either force it out of him and then go on him again 5 seconds later, or bait him into using it and then hit him when its down or after you walk past the wall. If he's chasing you, prep a stun and throw out your wild cards first, he won't have time to tell if its the stun or the waveclear so he'll windwall and then you can stun him if he follows you past the wall. If he stops windwalling your first spell, start stunning him immediately. It's a mindgame.

I wasn't trying to be specific to Twisted Fate. I'm well aware how to outplay a bad Yasuo when it comes to mindgames. I was speaking for matchups as a whole where the windwall is unrealistically made. I just really found it annoyingly unnecessary to have his windwall be so easy to block with when I'm pretty sure it was intended to mimic the properties of Braum's shield instead of just blocking all abilities in every direction upon cast.

Iirc this has come up before, and riot said that they made windwall the way it is to allow for reflex saves at the last second (because of reaction times and ping, the wall was to spawn 'farther back' than you'd expect to get there in time, even if you saw the spell and made the decision in time). There was talk of maybe making it only work in one direction though if they decided yasuo needed a nerf later on.

Indeed. But I don't trust them to code such a thing, they are incompetent.

Its one of the reasons why he's unfun to fight

That said Riot HAS talked about finding a way to make his wind wall work only one way (AKA only hitting the front) so hey we can hope

One advice against Yasuo, proc his shield with an aa use your yellow card to bait out his windwall then DONT use q. So you can save some mana. After that you should be able to hit him with everything. Also you can proc his shield during lane multiple times with aa then bluecard (free harrass).

If you think Yasuo vs Tf is a bad matchup, play the Fizz matchup lol.

To be honest I like being able to shrug off any skillshot with proper windwall timing, helps a lot when Thresh or Blitzcrank roam mid.

However, windwall does need to be retuned. Maybe have it consume all flow, and windwall's duration is based on how much flow was consumed, then buff his kit in other areas
