When people say "YOU PLAYED 1500 GAMES and ONLY g5 HAHAHAH" yet they dont know is

  1. I never mained a certain role till end of season
  2. I never mained a champion
  3. I played every role for about 300-400 games each.

Never Judge. ^_^ Yea im g5 but i got there without maining anything. :T

But what does it matter to you (Or anyone else who deems it fit to point out) that he's in that situation? Literally all it does is bring someone down. I know you may have just brought it up due to context, but some people throw it around for no reason.

Well yeah. It means you put in an ungodly amount of effort and have not shown any improvement.

It's a shitty reason to laugh but it's not altogether unjustified.

Actually I dont care if someone points it out. Because I know I practiced each role till im comfortable in them. Thats the reason for 1500 games not because I suck ( I think i do) or Inting or whatever other reason. Some games i go 17-6 and just cant carry thats life. 70% of my games i end positive. I spent ungodly amount of time into reaching gold 5 from b5 playing each role lots of times and practiced different champs ( 16 of them are m7) (10 are m6) and more ready to be upgraded. My champion pool is big af and maybe too big. Maybe thats why I cant reach plat- diamond. But once I do. It will feel good because I never once mained a champion.

You don't have to main a champion and you certainly don't need to have a pool that size.

Just get 3-4 champs you're comfortable on per role.

Well then I hope you find not making the cut in LCS boring.

Improve first. Branch out later. Otherwise you end up pulling a ChickenWrap.

If you're not sure how that works out go to General Discussion and ask around.

Tbh that probably doesn't matter. The most obvious difference between low gold and platinum is low gold players usually fail at teamwork and objective oriented playing, rather than any stark difference in mechanical skill. Gold players will almost always sit in lane and rack up 5 kills in each lane and do nothing else, while platinums or diamonds would be pushing at least one of the lanes to the inhibitor before the other team can catch back up.

The thing with maining one champion is that it makes it a bit easier to focus on the big picture, since you don't need to think about how to play your champion. But it's really not that big of a deal as long as you're not picking champions you have no clue how to play.

I think those who say that are silvers/bronze themselves... I have 256 games tho

I played 1000 games in silver with a goal of hitting Gold before season ended. Ended the season in Plat 5 got through gold in like 100 games !

Who cares what they think. You play to enjoy, not for getting to LCS. Just because I play basketball for many years doesn't mean I should be good for NBA.

DarianEX1 votes

ACtually.....I wanna get to the lcs ;-;

If you want to get into the LCS then you need to change the way you practice. It should not take someone 1000+ games to get to gold 5, which is mostly basic skills.

YE this was my first full season. Like I said If i mained mid/adc and stuck to it i mightve gotten higher no probs. but the issue is I trade roles. Or play an off role because I wanted to learn more about that role or how its played. This season Im going to stick to mid/adc and see how far I go

Druce1 votes

Sticking to 2 roles is very good, also make sure to only play 1-2 (maybe 3 if you really need to) champions per role. You'll see improvement a lot faster than constantly jumping around roles, although it is much more boring.

As long as you're not complaining about elo hell or your teammates keeping you down, it's fine. That's the only time I will point out somebody's thousands of games played in a season and tell them to get a reality check.
