Thinking about quitting league

I used to play on and off since season 1. Than all of a sudden I started playing more frequently in s5 found the game very fun now I dont

Heres the reasons why

  1. ITs all about meta, What ever champs are the best people spam. It gets dull after a while an since lethality is a thing now gee so much fun.

  2. Either you do very well and or you do really shit theres no in between.

  3. Believe it or not I used to not be a toxic player. I used to play for fun and had most fun in this game. I became more toxic when people were toxic to me.

  4. THeres no way of earning a perma banned account back that means 1200-1500$ I spent on this game is gone also the time I spent on my account earning the champs m7's gone. Just because someone can find one thing toxic and another cant.

  5. This game is all about making riot money. Im tired of giving money to them.

  6. Match making is fucked up. I get plats some games and i get bronze some other games? Gee I know its about mmr but seriously?

Point is, Im planning on quitting this game and finding a better game to go to. ITs a shame that i found this game really fun :/ but in the end it doesnt matter because its all about the money.

IMO permabanning should be reserved for cheaters. If you have a bad day 4 times, you're out. That absolutely sucks.

You been playing since season one, but only now found this out? That doesnt make any sense! Its as if this season alone started on all your points when most if not all have been implemented since day one!

1- The meta, is not god

  • You can rock any hero in any role, the meta is only a rule of thumb for users who are not sure how to play 2- So either you feed or you carry? Umm you should practice more on how to not feed 3-Played since season 1 I'm clearly no more toxic than when I started. You chose to be toxic, do not blame others 4- You can earn your perma ban account back, it takes work. Alot of work, more than you are willing to do. 5- Riot like every company is focused on securing funds. Why are you surprised by it 6- MMR balancing is not screwing your games. If enemy has a plat, they have some low elo player to balance it.

100% postive you were not banned over a "joke" post your logs if you think otherwise

No one is banned for one single outburst unless it is pretty horrible. No one gets perma banned for one single event. This being said, you must be a toxic prick, and maybe you should have a look at yourself.

I am sure whatever game you go to, you can probably be expected to be banned for the same reason at some point. Lucky them. No amount of game changing or complaining will change your toxic personality, you have to want to first.

Thank god paladins is free and i dont have to play league all day xD

Gaxoo2/22/2017, 7:28:42 PM2 votes

Don't let your dreams be dreams. Do it! Riot doesn't care about you, they only care about making money. They are also horrible at balancing the game, which is why everything gets redone every few months.

Play Dota 2, the superior game made by a superior developer.

Yeah, same here. I was playing back before seasons were a thing and I have to say, the state of this game now feels pretty crap, one of the worst states I've felt the game has been in. I usually go on hiatus rather then just outright quit though.

Chibi Zephyr2/19/2017, 7:16:52 PM2 votes

Good on you, be free. I wish I could.

Synnx72/19/2017, 9:01:49 PM2 votes

I'd never spend a fucking $ for this incompetent company that destroyed this game. I never actually paid any $ since i'm playing.

Meta only applies sometimes. I've won casual games as yorick jungle. I've had games won with Rengar bot. "Meta" really only applies to the highest echelon of pro tier and even then you sometimes get variations such as Miss Fortune support. Meta is only required if you're not good enough with a champion or as a player.

Your second point has been since Season 1.

"An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind". It's an online game. Jackasses are common regardless where you go.

Your ban, your fault. "But he said-" Yeah no. That doesn't work. And it's not really a problem unless you're consistently being a dick to people. One-or-two bad games isn't a big deal. Constantly being a jerk is.

...Literally every game is about making money. Every single one. Do you think Blizzard is running overwatch out of the goodness of their hearts? Do you think Valve adds tons of cosmetics to DOTA2 just to "give you more options"? Game companies are your friend: They are companies.

Matchmaking MMR is fucked because normal and ranked queues are separate.

Pretty much every point you have has been true since Season 1. Either you were blinded by nostalgia or you're just now realizing how it's always been.

  1. People play stronger Champions. That's a thing. However, that doesn't mean that the Champions who aren't that strong are not played. Champions don't just entirely disappear because they're not meta.
  2. If we look at your Match History, you've had good games, mediocre games, and poor games. There most definitely is an "in-between." In fact, you'll see that trend for every player in League of Legends.
  3. Other people's actions do not justify your own.
  4. Yes, if you're permanently banned, then there is very little chance of your reform. Riot gathered statistics on the percent chance of reform after each tier of punishment and found this out. They decided that the tiny chance of reform after a permaban was not worth giving people who would just be toxic again another chance to ruin the games of other people. Furthermore, the amount of money that you have spent on your account means nothing. Riot owns everything on your account and they are allowed to take it away. You should have been more careful with your behavior if you did not want to lose your money and fruits of the effort you spent.
  5. Riot Games is a business. They make games to make money. What a surprise. Unlike some other companies, money is no longer their primary motivating factor though. Riot wants to make a great game.
  6. Sometimes people queue in groups of vastly different MMRs. Sometimes there aren't many people playing at a time so the matchmaker takes people out of its traditional range to speed up your queue. Maybe you're on a winstreak and you're being matched up against better opponents because of your MMR. Maybe you're on a losestreak and the opposite happens. Maybe your opponents are on a winstreak or a losestreak. Maybe this is normals and your opponents haven't played many normals and their MMR is off.

All that said, it's entirely your decision if you want to quit because you don't find the game fun.

The only point I don't get, is number 2. You either do very well or very bad? No inbetween? Maybe after all these years you've gotten cocky and just all in people and go for out plays, so either you own or get owned and continue to fall behind more n more. This game is not about making big plays. It's about rotating for objectives at the right times and knowing what objectives to go for. No one should do very well or very bad with no in between. Maybe try going back to the fundamentals and focus on objectives n cs? Might re light a fire in you, idk. Either way, good luck with whatever you choose to do!

Wouldnt complaining about someone being a higher rank technically mean your not ready to play at their level if they are crushing you in lane?

And giving money to riot?? Called self control. Giving them money is your choice. This is one of the few games that buying something won't make you any stronger or better in game.

Pang Y2/19/2017, 7:09:45 PM1 votes

yah. Every game I see Jhin. literally lol.

ZT Xperimentor2/20/2017, 4:05:33 PM1 votes

Sadly spot on; games are decided within 5 minutes thanks to the game revolving around who gets kills first, and who has higher ranked players. Greed has been driving this game into the ground for a few years though.

Gorgiolio2/19/2017, 8:49:56 PM1 votes

There's always been a meta. There's always been champions that outshine others. There's literally also no reason to spend money. You don't have to spend money. You can get to challenger without spending a single cent. The toxic thing is total shit too. I've probably been way more toxic than you and I've never even actually had my account banned. It's been chat restrictions and I cool down for a good long while until I finally pop off again. If you are getting permabanned you deserve it.

I don't understand this post and what it's trying to accomplish. You're just pointing out obvious things that everyone knows and that have been around since forever. And the delusional thing about money is hilarious. Instead of playing only ranked, just mess around in normals and have fun. Smash some kids with Urgot top or mid. It's a game for fun. It's not going to be fun forever, it happens to every game. Just move on and check it out later. Just a pointless rant to feel better about yourself.
