How to make morde viable in solo lanes w/o making him more buffed in duo lanes

I think this is a simple solution: How about making his W able to be used on minions. However, you do not receive the heals you would have if you used on a champion instead. This vastly improves his soloing whilst not changing anything about his duo laning

Or let him self-cast his W for half damage and the heal if no allied champions are within range.
