I still cannot counter tank Yasuo

How do I counter him? I've played against him with so many different champions and he just outputs too much damage and I can barely touch him. So if I don't fight and try to run he just slows forever because of frozen mallet and his attack speed and I die anyways. He could turret dive too so do I just leave my turrets to die? Even if he feeds in lane, by around mid game when he has Frozen Mallet and Phantom Dancer he becomes really hard to play against. Does anyone have any tips for playing against that?

I don't think you can other than to try shut him down early which isn't that easy in an of itself, unless you play some absolute early game god. It is frustrating, that much I can tell you.

I know! Even when I get a lead without my jungle ganking, eventually it just becomes too hard to play against.

I feel like it's becoming like; if you want to play a late game scaler (who isn't Yasuo), chances are they're not that strong early and thus will allow Yasuo to get ahead of you easily. If you want to play an early game champion then you'll still need to force yourself upon Yasuo as hard as you can since he's not easy to shut down anyway. Either way, it's not easy to stop him doing his stuff, especially how his build and abilities allow him to easily farm back up if he does happen to fall behind (e.g. item 3087 item 3074 )

Exactly. Even if I play people who are supposed to be 1v1 gods like Fiora, his kit just lets him get away whenever I ult because of how mobile he is. I know Fiora has a lot of dashes but you can't do them in rapid succession like Yasuo can.

The problem with Yasuo is that he has too much room for error and lack of significant counterplay :/

Because you CANNOT counter tank Yasuo.

The only answer to Tank Yasuo is a fundamental reworking of his kit.

Not to my knowledge. Items are rarely the problem-- Riot actually does pretty well with itemization. It's kits that are fucking retarded.

Yasuo's double crit passive and base damages are fucking retarded. Nerf his base damages and remove the double crit, you would still have a usable champ. And you know what? People would still play Yasuo. He has an absurd amount of hard CC and defensive capabilities for an MADC, and that makes him attractive as a feast-or-famine faceroll Riot special.

Yeah Yasuo's kit is really overloaded in my opinion so even if you build him mostly tanky he still has a ton of utility, mobility, and damage.

Tank yasuo was nerfed out of existence, this is just elow problems. Counterpick him or just play safe and outscale him.

If you have to counterpick a champion that means that they don't have good counterplay. Yasuo's win rate is still over 50% for a champion who's kit is fairly hard to use. And all of his highest winrate builds always have a Frozen Mallet.

i mean... malzahar has a good time against tanks and yasuo, so in theory it should work against tank yasuo

Really? I always thought Yasuo would be good against Malzahar cause he could take out Malzahars voidlings in 1 q or continue to charge his third q on them. Still, I feel like he needs some counterplay that isn't choosing someone like annie or malzahar.

its mainly that his wind wall blocks nothing in malz's kit, except for auto attacks. its also really easy to proc his passive shield off of him.
